UMaine '18-'19: Back to the Nationals!

Re: UMaine '18-'19: Back to the Nationals!

I'm concerned about Ferguson too, but I hope that it was a concussion-protocol thing, and they sat him because the game was pretty-much done by then anyway. I replayed him walking into the tent about 6 times, and he didn't seem to be favoring anything.

Anyhoo, another big road win. All alone atop the toughest conference in the FCS. (The CAA has six top-20 teams as we speak.)

Elon at home next week. A win in Maine's mere 4th home game sews-up a bid. What a job by Harasymiak and the Black Hole D...

"Defense wins championships". (Or so I hope.)

GO BLUE!
I kind of thought the same that was it, but check again as he's heading to and into the tent area...and this maybe just be me...but it looks like he is favoring his arm in a slouched way...like I said maybe it's just me but he seemed to be injured...hoping for the best as you say.

Re: UMaine '18-'19: Back to the Nationals!

I wouldn't buy him out, and neither would I renew him. He's been coaching like a lame duck since Year One, why waste money on a buyout? Throwing good money after bad is always a lousy idea.

But, sure, show him the door after next year... If he gets another renewal, my head will explode.
You won't be alone on the EXPLODE...………….phew and that is putting it mildly.

UMass sweeps Providence, 3-2...this time @ Providence...after winning @ home vs PC on Thursday.

When was the last time Maine beat PC? let alone twice?

I'd guess Shoulder on Ferguson, wasn't that the issue earlier in season? Hope it isn't too bad. Elon at home might be winnable without him but the 2nd string guy didn't look great yesterday
When is the next poll for FCS

I work with a big Umass fan and he says word on the street is that Coach H will be going to Amherst after the season.

Time will tell on that...but now still in Orono and the task at hand is win the CAA outright on Saturday and move on to the Playoffs...

Back in the hey-day when Maine Hockey was the ONLY game in town/State....now just on the back-burner.

Watching the Pats today was a lot like watching Maine hockey, so I went and cleaned my gutters instead

One of those games where the Patriots never showed up. When Brady's receivers are covered and they can't run the ball he becomes very vulnerable (like most quarterbacks would be). The Titans sure ran the ball down the Patriot's throats on their last touchdown.

You guys've got more energy than me - I just took a nap.

In their dreams maybe. When coach H leaves itll be for somewhere bigger and better than that.

Maybe we can beat Elon without Ferg no shot in playoffs witbour him, look what happened vs Yale

Is Ferguson ruled-out for Elon right now?

It'll be a tough row to hoe without him. Maybe Belcher will get that start; not too confident in the red-shirt, but a week of reps might make a difference.

Have not heard the status of Ferguson, would think they keep that close to the vest, even versus Elon...but Belcher would be key move if they choose that but figure they stay with Robinson then go to Belcher? Win on Saturday would give then a Bye week would it not for the Playoffs....?

A win on Saturday would give Maine one of ten automatic qualifiers and a first round bye. Maine would host a game at Alfond Stadium in the second round.
