If it was compensation..it worked out pretty well for us. I was actually pretty surprised he bailed on UNH..figured he would sign with PC.He was committed to UNH for nearly three years. Is this some sort of compensation due UConn for the loss of Souza?What caused the decommit and why hadn't he signed an LOI during the past year?

Well, he had to have been talking to UConn for quite some time and probably had made a decision. Who might he have been talking to? Yeah, my thought exactly. Would not be surprised if UNH had told him he had to follow through with UConn. Coaching at this level is a very small exclusive club. What goes around comes around. Thus this situation was probably discussed by all parties and may even have been part of the delay.

From Coach Cav's quote, he is clearly holding UNH accountable for hiring Souza when Umile steps down. Interesting angle, and true sign of character from a coach that many believe wasn't getting the same level of support from his former boss. Good for Souza, hope it works out form him.

Let's either cancel August or move the start of the season up a month. How would that work? Someone want to start a 2015-2016 thread?
