That bolded line is the toughest to swallow. Michigan Tech was one of the landing spots so we're one of the guilty parties taking advantage of the uncertainty that the program faced over the last few months. Hopefully the Chargers look at it as a chance to prove themselves and start a new era on firm financial ground rather than wondering if each and every season will be the last. The challenge for the staff now will be to take that frosh class and get them to develop and stick together. ANY team with 10+ seniors, given their experience and physical development as older players would be a formidable team to face. Similar to what a couple of the ECAC teams did recently - not really the most talented but stacked with older players and it was enough to put them on top.

i would love to be a fly on the wall on how things are -really- playing out for UAH as far as the future goes...

sure... money for a few seasons seems to be there but...

is AHA membership a true possibility with the new kids on the block, LIU, maybe going for the same spot?

is being an independent, with a mostly road schedule, a real possibility?

is the future somehow involving both alaska teams?

GO TECH GOLD!

There is no reason to garner ill will towards those players or the teams that took them in. For all they knew, UAH was done. Those players had to take care of themselves, the coaching staff at the time took care of those players as best they could.

As to the future? There is no future without a conference affiliation. There is a $17 million fundraising effort, in addition to the one already embarked upon for the "save the team" drive over the summer, that hinges on it.

ASU was also a guilty party to the dismemberment of the team. Just hope their new team does well & they soon land in a conference that works for all.

Tanner B. Hoops @Tmoneyhoops
Alabama-Huntsville reportedly forgot their uniforms before leaving for their two-game series at NMU, tried to have them shipped but winter storms have delayed the shipment. So they are wearing practice jerseys sponsored by a local Marquette car dealership. Final UAH 3 - NMU 1

I tuned in late to watch this game yesterday and was wondering if these were borrowed unis. Given how well UAH played yesterday they may want to take them along to the Soo this weekend. I do have to ask, just how does the equipment mgr. forget to pack uniforms for a four game road trip?

One other thing, the goalie, Fessondon(?), is he seriously injured?

Go Mavs.

I watched some of the game last night, and overheard the NMU announcers say how cool the UAH road jerseys were. I agree. love that Royal Blue with the horseshoes, probably the best road unis in D-1.

Still, I hope they bring one Fox Motor jersey home with them...would be a nice item to put in your hall of fame some day.

Go Mavs.

I want to switch over to the UAH-Lake State game tonight and be pleasantly surprised to see the Fox Motors jerseys on the ice.

The only thing better than the Fox Motors jersey would something along the lines of "Bubba's Towing" or "Big Al's Appliance Warehouse". If you guys go independent for a year or two, maybe you could try some unis like that.

I noticed that UAH only rostered 16 skaters tonight. That's a really short bench. Has this been common for the Chargers this year?

No, it doesn't appear to be common from scrolling through UAH's past line charts. They definitely have some guys on the roster that weren't in last night's line-up. I have no inside intel but my guess would be COVID-related, which wouldn't be surprising given all UAH's travel.
