UAH Hockey 2012-13: Still breathing

Re: UAH Hockey 2012-13: Still breathing

I was wondering if someone could provide any background on when UAH might have worn this style of jersey? The photos don't show it, but the body of the jersey is almost powder blue from bleeding during washing. The jersey was made by Koronis. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan J

That style is from 1992-97. The "powder blue" was indeed from a washing accident. It happened during the 1994-95 season if I recall correctly.

"Championship era" sweater. One of these jerseys hangs in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

They are very nice. You guys have a good, unique color scheme, I'll say that. Look good on TV.

Nobody at the game, hardly.

Terrible season + old fanbase + bad last few seasons + game inexplicably scheduled on a Thursday = Wow, that's the emptiest the building has been since before it opened.

I don't like the jerseys. Too many bands, too much black for my taste.

We just dropped ~$2000 for jerseys we'll use four times [Wisco, Mariucci, PSU, Duluth]. The money is there, people.

I kinda like them, as I see them on TV, although there is a bit too much black.

I had forgotten this was on TV.

They won't be used next year?

Well, I figure that they'll be used next year, but we know that three of them [Sebass, Cseter, deBruyn] will use them for eight games. John Griggs is eligible to play next year, but he will graduate in May.

FYI - From the Heisenberg site. A goaltender for next season

Matt Larose-G Wellington (OJHL) 6'3, 205, 8-15-92

http://ojhlsite.stats.pointstreak.com/playerpage.html?playerid=6413799&seasonid=9434

Either he sits a year or Coach doesn't plan on bringing Griggs back for a fourth year of eligibility as a graduate student. But holy crap, at 6-4, 205, he's bigger than Cam or Munny.

We are seeing the benefits of being able to dedicate Gavin to the road nearly full-time. Bruce is doing some looking, too, but it's largely Gavin.

A little too much black for my taste, but not bad. The player name and numerals are more readable. I like the "ALABAMA HUNTSVILLE" with the horse logo on the front.

The only thing I would have changed is done "Huntsville" in the same manner as "Alabama". I realize it's likely a lack of space (too many letters, too little space), but it look like the team moved and they covered over the old location of the team with Huntsville nameplates.
