You may have bit off more than you can chew. ……. I can see it now….Sarah rides on to the rink riding shotgun on the zamboni. Bucky Badger skating around the rink being the clown that he is ****es her off and Sarah pulls out a long gun and puts a bead on him and pulls the trigger. One shot he’s down she walks over and guts and skins him in seconds and has him ready for a Seawolf feast in front of 14,000 sobbing Badger fans. Wraps up the gut pile in the badger skin, ties it to the back of the zamboni to be drug off the ice in time for the third period.

UW has no injury concerns, and even if they did, they have 3 d and 3 f sitting every night any college hockey team would put in their top 6/12 easily.

After he scored his second goal, he jumped up against the glass, and other players kinda jumped on him. I don't think he played after that. Shyiak said in his post game interview that they thought he might have a dislocated shoulder.

It was interesting to watch what happened just before that. Leinweber was behind Salazar, he touched him with his stick, took his stick away, and Salazar went down like a sack of potatoes. I don't ever want to hear DU fans talk about Clark taking dives, because Salazars performance was worthy of an oscar.

One thing that DU needs to brush up on is their defense. UAA's 6th and 7th goals were scored by UAA getting past TWO defensemen and taking the puck to the net. Wiles got pack Wrenn and Lee, and Lunden got past Donovan and Colborne. Wrenn didn't make a big impression on the home town fans. He was a huge liability for DU, taking two penalties each night.

What the?? Well we can hope it is not as serious as a dislocated shoulder...his line played well over the weekend...overall even though we split we had a good weekend. Let's hope that we can go on the road this time and compete a little harder than we did in Minny.

That more plausible than her becoming president.

Anything less than 4 points for UW and this series will be a disappointment.

UAA is no push over but i like the way the teams match up, UAA has played some good teams tough so far this season but they always seem to struggle in madison. We shall see, all i know is i was happy with the way UW played all weekend, I really thought saturday could have been a W, just bennett let in 2 soft ones and we ran into a buzz saw in kangas... plain and simple... Our chances of getting a sweep are probably better then a split, that must i'd say...

They always seem to struggle in Madison? I think not. UAA won several playoff games in Madison. They have knocked the Badgers out of the playoffs. I wouldn't use the word "always" when I describe UAA's performance in mad town.

Yeah, UAA has played solid down here in the playoffs...from what I can remember.

Anyone remember the 04-05 WCHA playoffs at the Coliseum? We got booted because of high school girl's basketball if I remember correctly (I know...seriously). The badgers won on Friday but then there was a huge brawl on Saturday, a UAA win.

That was a fun series to watch...back at the Coliseum. Was Sunday the last men's badger game at the Coliseum...possibly ever?

Despite the badger loss that night...it was one of the most memorable game I have been to. It was probably one of the largest college hockey fights I had seen in person, the refs let it go for quite a while.

The badgers really need a sweep this weekend...but we are going to have to play well...for 120 minutes...and stop making stupid defensive decisions.

My apologies in advance for this post .... it's directed at a particular person but I'll be honest that I can't remember who it was... you'll see what I mean in a second.

In a previous thread at some point regarding unusual or favorite jerseys, I mentioned that I have a game-worn & autographed UW jersey from Mark Osiecki. It's one that he wore during an exhibition game - either the Moscow Dynamo game from 88-89 or the Kiev game during 89-90 (I can't remember which one).

Why mention this now? I found it in the back of the closet and plan to wear it to the game Saturday. Someone (but I can't remember who) on the boards had asked me about/wanted to see it, so that's the reason for this rather specific post.

We now return you to regularly scheduled programming...

That brawl was at the Kohl center during the regular season and I'm pretty sure it was 02' or 03'.

I think we'll be lucky to get a split... matchup and stats look pretty bad. So hoping for 25% powerplay on saturday for a win. or return to mean around 4 to 1 so about time for a win. Go Seawolves!!!

Hmm not sure if this info is accurate... but I do remember the sweep pain of defeat last year.

The Seawolves and Badgers met for two WCHA series last season, with Wisconsin sweeping both ... UW swept the first series on Dec. 5-6 (2-3, 2-7) at the Kohl Center, before sweeping at the Sullivan on Jan. 9-10 (2-3, 3-6) ... the Badgers were the only league team to sweep the Seawolves last season ... in the last 10 meetings UW leads 8-1-1 ... the lone Seawolf win was accomplished on Nov. 4, 2006 at the Sully

I'm a highly critcal Badger fan, but if he changes that to having 3 F and 2 D on the bench that would be cracking the lineup on a majority of teams, I would have a hard time disputing that.

Those games were played in your house, how did your team do on their first WCHA road trip?

9 times out of 10, I'd pick even a top WCHA team to split at UAA, tough road trip.

The Badgers shouldn't take any team lightly, I picked UAA to finish 7th in the WCHA, they have a good team w/ a lot of big players. Time to leave Ratty Johnson and Podge Turnbull on the bench in favor of size and physical play.
