Wow, I'm trying to figure out what I (1978) have in common with my sister-in-law (1995) given that I graduated college 15 years ahead of her. I mean, I turn 39 on Sunday, and she's just starting her post-college life...

Two weeks until the next home game, hopefully attendance picks up. My dad who has been a fan from the start didn't even know they were playing this weekend. When I lived at home I made sure he knew lol. Only have Netflix so not sure how heavy if at all the advertisments were.

NCAA Hockey tweeted a video of Manny's amazing save last night. With this caption "Early candidate for national save of the year by Olivier Mantha of Alaska Anchorage." They also posted it on their Facebook page. :)

First two games of six game Governor's Cup series this weekend.
This weekend is a non-conference match-up.
UAF at UAA Friday night.
UAA at UAF Saturday night.

Both teams are 0-3-1
Both teams tied ranked teams.
Both teams lost in OT to a top 10 team.
I am relieved to say that both teams have had good goaltending so far.

Mantha is good but historically not quite good enough to carry the whole team. He probably deserved better. Is history doomed to repeat itself? Maybe not, but probably.
