There's 16 more points available ... I'm guessing 31 points for 4th place because it's bunching up a bit from 3rd to 9th at this point which in my mind raises the question.

As nice as that looks, realistically I don't see UAA getting 10 more points. They play Lake Superior, Ferris St and UA_ on the road, and their road record is dismal. They split with Lake Superior here and they are a good team, I don't see us sweeping them on the road. Ferris is a great team and UA_ is always tough for the Gov Cup. I see one or two points against Ferris (if we play mistake free hockey). I am hopeful they can sweep their remaining home game against Bowling Green, but again they are a very talented team.

I'm not saying UAA can't do it, but they surely have their work cut out for them. Everyone is fighting for every single point right now. The missed point in Alabama could be huge. Who do you see Alabama beating to get to 6 points?

I love it when people bring out the stats, even more this season. But how dare you say UA_ will sneak into the playoffs! Has this good season made you a little soft?! I jokes, but not really. :mad:

Kevin Clark is the leading goal scorer in the DEL and 2nd in points. In 41 games he has 27 goals and 26 assists and 100 penalty minutes (which is ONLY 6th most in the league) and his +/- is +20. His linemate Adam Courchaine leads the league in points.

This link http://www.eurohockey.com/stats/league/2014/129-del.html?season=2014&type=1&position=0&nationality=CAN shows all the canadian players in that league. Perusing the list shows some pretty familiar names to college hockey fans and emphasizes exactly how well Clarkie is doing.

UA_ is only 5 points behind UAA, and they play Huntsville in _airbanks this weekend.

But in all seriousness, UA_ has been keeping up with us of late. Since we've played each other in December; we are 6-3-1, UA_ has been 4-4-2. You take out their best weekend since we played, they are 3-4-1. Take out our best weekend, we still remain superior at 4-3-1. Our best performance was against MSU, while UA_ played Bemidji. We are playing better than them and we have the same number of games left. While they still have UAH, as we learned they aren't exactly an easy 4 points. We both have to play Ferris State, then they have UAH and Michigan Tech, and the Huskies swept them earlier in the season. They haven't played UAH, their first meeting sounds like a trap game for UA_. Ferris State also swept UA_ earlier in the season. We haven't played Ferris, we have LSSU who we spilt earlier in the season. And then we have Bowling Green, who swept us earlier. So while UA_ still has The Chargers, they aren't exactly looking much better than us for total points for the end of the season.
