Wonder if they'd consider sorta reserving the 3rd goalie spot for a local walk on? It frees up a schollie that you can use on a skater ...

They've done that before, and I guess it makes sense.

The Crossbar says they will be showing todays game.
Hope we have enough Seawolf fans to fill a couple of tables.
See you there.

Same lines as last weekend, expect that Gundy is the backup. I'm on call for work this weekend so I won't make it the crossbar

Go seawolves

Who's hurt and didn't travel?

I think Allen probably stayed home, since they said he would be out of the lineup 2-3 weeks, but that is pure conjecture on my part.

Me too, he is very talented ... so sad this is his last season with UAA. I'm sure we will see him down the road, in the ECHL or AHL.

Post-UAA if Matt winds up in the ECHL then somebody isn't paying attention or he would have completely lost his skills somehow. There's zero reasons for him to ever play at that level.

That's where Evan Trupp has been, so.

Re: UAA seawolves thread 2013-2014 the old has gone the new has come

Didn't Evan just move up to the AHL?

He did, but after he graduated from UND (the 2010-2011 season) he played in the ECHL. In all that time he has only played two games in the AHL - and as you said, he just moved up. I'm not saying Bailey isn't good enough, but when you look at the talent in the former WCHA who has never made it past the ECHL, you start to see how difficult it can be.

Had someone told me last August we would be at this level at this point in the season I would have dismissed it as just lollypop daydreaming.

What school you went to doesn't have much bearing on the future. I'm sure there are plenty of former WCHA players from Jay Beagle's or Curtis Glencross' eras that aren't in the NHL.
