UAA: Patiently Waiting For Next Season, Every Season...

He’s suited up as #12, was cleared by the Mucky Mucks and ready to play this weekend.

Games this week are Thursday. The Seawolves play at Lake Superior State on Saturday 3:07 and Sunday 1:07, and play at Bowling Green on the following Thursday and Friday.

All games will be on at the American Legion on Brayton drive. Come on by and a member will host the games. Monster steak night $25.00 for a 32 oz t bone steak 4: pm-8: pm.

Watch hockey and try to power down that t bone while washing it down with a local beverage.
Sorry no steaks today

Nice road win for the Seawolves. I must say, the play-by-play guy for LSSU is the WORST I have ever heard. He repeatedly said UAA took dives and were the worst in the league for doing so. I guess he didn't see the Laker laying on the ice for several minutes, trying to draw a penalty when a UAA and LSSU guy went into the boards side by side. VanAllen's eblow nudged the guys back (remember they were side by side). He went down like a sack of potatoes and stayed down. He was the most unprofessional play-by-play guy, right up there with the CC announcer.

Mute the homer and put Tuttle on a second computer. Tuttle audio is no charge.
The video/audio were pretty much in sync the first 2 periods and then were out of sync (Tuttle ahead) by about 34 seconds.
If I don't like the out of sync and hate the homers call I mute them both.
Tuttle is doing a very good job by the way.
And when he makes a homer call he steps up and owns it.

Re: UAA: Patiently Waiting For Next Season, Every Season...

Tuttles' interview with Whitten was insightful.
A real good piece.
To top it off Whitten had good things to say about his Alaska experience.

When I started watching the game, Tutts was a good minute behind the play, so I turned him off and listened to the homer instead, at least it was in sync. David is indeed doing a VERY good job, he's very enjoyable to listen to. So glad he wanted the job! :) We didn't listen to the post game, what did Damon have to say that was insightful? I thought UAA played good enough to get all 4 points.

BTW, I thought Nils Rygard looked very comfortable on the ice, and he's gonna be a good player for UAA. Welcome Nils!

That's surprising about Crawford. I've always found Bill to be pretty good.

Last night was the first time I listened to him and I hope I never have to again. I have never heard a guy be more unprofessional and disrespectful of his opponent. Joked about how much fun it was going to be to go to Anchorage if it was this bad down there (the embellishment). And he just wouldn't let it go, he must have mentioned it at least 6 times. Said UAA had no talent, but they worked hard. Unbelievable.

I didn't hear much of the broadcast last night, but Crawford will pretty much call things as he sees them and that includes being critical of the Lakers play when they are playing that way. I did hear quite a bit of the Saturday game and he did say how poorly the Lakers played for the first two periods. If he thought Seawolves players were embellishing last night, it's because it appeared that way to him, and maybe some of them were in fact doing so. I don't know; I wasn't there and didn't see the game. What I did hear of both games didn't indicate he thought UAA had no talent; he was very positive about the talent of guys like Tatchell, Kozun and Mantha. He may have said that UAA wasn't loaded with high end talent, but he says that about the Lakers as well. In fact I did hear him say that the teams were a lot like each other.

Re: UAA: Patiently Waiting For Next Season, Every Season...

Did the team head for Bowling Green by bus?
It looks like a full day 400 mile trip.
Playing Thursday I'm guessing they would go straight through.
Does anyone know?

The team is already there, took an 8 hour bus ride today.

Re: UAA: Patiently Waiting For Next Season, Every Season...

True Statement. There were cars that went off the highway and into ditches because of near white out conditions and slippery roads.

75 through Northwest Ohio and southern Michigan is pretty tough driving in icy/snowy weather, mainly because the roadway is often elevated slightly above the surrounding terrain, which doesn't have much in the way of trees. Add into that the fact that it's a mostly north-south road in weather that generally runs perpendicular to it, and it can get dicey. I've been blown across both lanes of travel, off the road, and into the ditch on 75.

I can't speak to 75 north of Detroit, as I've never been on it.

There is some snow belts up near Gaylord and further north especially before the lake's freeze.
