U-M / MSU - The R-rated series

Re: U-M / MSU - The R-rated series

If the goal is to get drunk, yes.

Since wine has twice the alcohol as beer, it doesn't take too long, with fewer bathroom stops. That goes also for "wine coolers" which is, apparently, a sparty aphrodisiac. :D

So while we are happy drunks, you guys get all mad since there are fewer port-a-johns around, and then decide to take it out on harmless couches... ;)

How clumsy of me ... I actually meant "wine"s homophone. ;)

Re: U-M / MSU - The R-rated series

Oh yeah? You think you and your wine-and-brie crowd can out-drown us? :D
A good forearm shiver in the corner or a well-disguised butt-end to the ribs and you're one scorer away from mediocrity. :D
I hope your boys keep their heads up this weekend. :D

Seriously though, I hope #5's healed and ready to go this weekend. :)

Mediocrity already exists. We have plenty of set up men setting up the set up men, and no scorers. Matter of fact, I heard that the mug of #29 has officially been placed on, of all things, milk cartons. It won't take a well placed shiver to make him disappear more than he has.

Oh, and look out for #34. I heard that he is going to place a bounty out on officials, that is, if he is allowed on the team bus. He thinks that they are the true opponent. Otherwise, anyone in green and white is welcome to skate right into scoring position. He has officially been donned the "MGoWhippingBoy". Even the shovel boys got more ice time than he did last week, though. So the dumbness quotient on the blue line was relegated to others that patrol back there.. including...

#5 who has been well heeled this season. Once in a while it would be nice for him to score or play defense without drawing a game deciding and needless penalty.

Oh, and don't get me started on #35. The mere thought of his glove work from the GLI (and last saturday's first goal) is enough to make me petition to retire that sacred number. Woe is us.

It would be best just to mail a bottle of chianti in to the Spartans to go with the six points and the pound of roadkill you'll devour this weekend. It beats eating brie, and it probably goes better with your new logo. Bon Appetit.

:p (..and the trap is now set...)

Re: U-M / MSU - The R-rated series

I really think a split is coming, in either direction...but I cant see which night it will be. MSU has played flat for the majority of the last two weeks. I am not very confident in them at the moment. UM is one of the rising teams right now. These teams always play close games no matter where it is being held.

I'm looking at a 1985-style 8-0, 9-4 sort of series.

That's what I heard.

Never corner a wounded Wolverine, especially one with a full bladder. :D
Just keep him away from our library ok. As you may know, they take that sort of thing pretty seriously here in EL.

Yep, will do, as long as you keep your masked goon squad away from the team bus. (Last I checked, most recently,it was one of your own grid iron heroes that got busted for public tinkling.)

As heard at Yost:

<ring, ring>

Hellooo... Hey Tropp... it's your parole officer... he says... YOU SUCK!

Re: U-M / MSU - The R-rated series

#1 Michigan hater? Pfff....Dean Lombardi would beg to differ!

Yo, let's keep this R-rated, OK? There are seriously disturbed hockey peoples here. Wouldn't want to leave a bad impression, would you?

Hey I've just got a lot of respect for Michigan State athletics right now, what can I say?

I'm just so envious of the way your football program leads in athlete-student relations, and how Munn Ice Arena is such a polite, quiet atmosphere. I wish our arena could be like that! And don't even get me started on your bold new logo, such forward thinking! Truly, Spartan athletics are the model to which all others should be judged. It's just tough to generate animosity in the face of such brilliance!

I can understand your envy of our football program. That a football program can lead anything has gotten to be a foreign concept 'round those parts, hasn't it?

I'm not even going to begin using the powers of my psychology degree on you...but thanks for proving our superiority even in your sarcasm.

No sarcasm man, I really do love that new logo. Can't you just picture it plastered all over every building on campus? On the 50-yard line, center court, and center ice? On the all the team's jerseys? It's going to be great! Thank god they finally got rid of that ugly old one. Do you think they'll replace that big boring statue too? I'm thinking something a little more modern. I bet Phil Knight has already started working on it....

Re: U-M / MSU - The R-rated series

Michigan has looked good lately but lets face it the Spartans are about a line deeper than them. Michigan only has 2 guys this year with over 20 points while Michigan State has 5 guys over the mark. I am telling you guys Michigan State's depth is enough to at least earn them a split in this series but I think it'll be tough for either team to get the sweep because Hogan has been hot lately for the Wolverines and the series is always bitterly contested

Re: U-M / MSU - The R-rated series

So I'm at the MSU library right now doing research for a new business opportunity and in walks someone wearing a MICHIGAN hockey jersey. Which one of you rodents is trying to make me go crazy?
