Inkmaster

Rich and Josh fighting for the bottom this week? No surprise. And no surprise in the elimination choice, either. Past history of this season determined that. If Rich hadn't been up for worst tatt before (and if Josh hadn't won one), I think the outcome would be different.

Related note: got an idea for some ink in the future, although unrelated to this week's topics. Kinda excited, as the ink is simple, and my guy is inexpensive (especially for the talent he has).
Given how Rich mauled the nose last week, and then went off about the subject matter to the judges this week, I completely expected him to go. It surprised the hell out of me that they wouldn't call out a best tattoo for the show as there were a couple that I thought to be passable. Tatu Baby's client killed her becuase the goddess looked good, but that lion was just lame. It's good that the judges called her out on not performing up to par, her clients deserve better work from her.

Because he deserves it.

Great soundtrack too.

I think last night's Suits set the record for most uses of the 'S' word in a basic cable series. And throw in a generous number of 'A-holes" just for good measure.

South Park's "It Hits The Fan" episode said it 162 times in a half-hour episode. They even had a counter in the corner, IIRC.

Actually the one two weeks ago may have had more. The scene with Mike and the Blonde chick they said it like 20 times

Suits is awesome...Gabriel Macht should be the next Batman :D

I bet Skyler on Breakng Bad comes close in a week or two when she breaks down and just starts screaming it repeatedly. That's about as close to acting as Anna Gunn can get.

Just spent some time looking up new series for this coming season. Looks extremely dismal.

This probably belongs in the Breaking Bad thread (or the Nice Planet one, depending on how you interpret it) but since you brought it up:

Anna Gunn wrote a guest editorial on the hatred for Skyler, and how it's transferred to hatred of her.

While the super crazy people are in the wrong, she isn't exactly right either. It's not about hating a "strong woman." It's about hating the character because she's just annoying. Nothing more than that. Take Gemma (Katey Sagal) in SOA. Huge fan of the character, despite how evil she can be. And Gemma ain't exactly a weak woman. ;)

I don't hate Skylar nearly as much this last season than I did before. She's gotten much less annoying.

Ink Master:

ES was the right choice, but man, Josh's and Tatu's tatts were bad.

And personally, I don't care why you need the money, or what obstacles (like panic disorder) you have to overcome. Just ink, man, just ink. Along the same lines, who cares if someone is gunning for you? Just do your thing, it will show in the end.

Not much for American Classic overall, but there were some good tatts and ideas in the flash challenge this week. Love the Ouija Board idea, along with the skull 7.

I'd agree with this. Also, I think the mustard has come off the Craig hotdog. It's not that he's put out bad work, but the producers didn't give him more than about 15 seconds on camera for tonight's show, which either means they're getting bored with him or they don't want the audience to think he's going to be one of the three people left in the final episode. Plus, he looks like he's just there to do that tattooing and not get caught up in the drama that the producers want/need for the show.

The previews for next week look interesting. I'm curious to see how that turns out because, IMO, last year's contestants were better artists than those appearing this year. This year I see maybe four top contenders while last year there could have been six of them who had a reasonable chance to win.

And I'd agree with this. I think Craig is "playing the game" correctly. Screw the Real World BS. Ink, and you shall (hopefully) be rewarded.

What an awesome season Suits is finishing up! Harvey is gonna kill someone :D

Re: TV Thread 9: The Walking Dead Americans are completely Justified to be Psyched

Wow. Craig gone from Ink Master. Quite the fall from the being one of the favorites. And I don't think Tatu Baby is here for much longer. Joshua escapes again, simply by not being the complete worst.

The League

New season started tonight. The ending was meh, but tons of funny stuff before that. Gotta love Rafi.

Re: TV Thread 9: The Walking Dead Americans are completely Justified to be Psyched

I believe that Comedy Central is re-airing the roast of James Franco tonight.

I'm a sucker for these and this one had some pretty funny moments. Jonah Hill, Andy Samberg and Bill Hader were outstanding.

Based on the list you provided its nice that the roast appeared to get back to its roots, actually having people who know the guest of honor roast him instead of random psuedo celebs and 2bit CC comedians.
