Men of a Certain Age wasn't allowed to gain any traction and was cancelled during its second (short) season. I thought it was one of the more honest, funny and thought-provoking shows on TV.
But we're on season three of that god-awful alien show, Falling Skies, with no end in sight. How anyone can watch that crap, I have no idea. The only thing worse than the acting on that show is the CGI.

I don't watch Falling Skies. I do watch Major Crimes (Cause I loved The Closer), Rizzoli and Isles, and Perception (which was new last year and pretty good). King and Maxwell I decided to give a spin. Not as good as the other 3 but tolerable. So, I guess I'm sticking with TNT for now.

Crossing Lines on NBC was ok, but for the most part disappointing. I'm going to stick it out a while to see if it gets better.

I do very much enjoy Franklin and Bash on TNT...good fun :)

Yes! Who knew Zack Morris could act? Great show, just sucks the season is typically very short.

Found out on Monday that China Beach is finally available on DVD. This has been one of my "must-haves" since DVD's were invented. Needless to say, it's on its way. Expensive yes, but the producers took great pains to make sure that they got music clearances for as much of the original soundtrack as they could. Which was the major issue keeping this from ever coming out. Music rights must have cost a bundle.

This show aired when I was 11-14 years old, and I vaguely remember my mom watching it each week. I was simply too young to get it, but everything I've found out about the show makes it look like something that's just must see.

Probably transferred from VHS, or maybe pirated from the released DVDs. At any rate, I'm going to find out. I was searching for the show on Google, and it came up as one of the top sites. I might need a new credit card after this.

FYI, after I made the purchase, the BS detector went off a little late. I called my card company, and they said there's nothing I can do to stop the posting of the payment before the fact. I have to allow this likely pirated purchase to complete and then file a complaint. I don't like pirated material. Regardless of that, I'm going to (likely) receive some shortly. Or they'll be a set of blank CD discs.

Yup, not surprising. I ended up getting a charge made to my account for another amount from a travel agency in Shenzhen, China. My card's fraud department blocked it pending my confirmation/rejection and I now have a new card on the way. Stupid me.

It happens. Buddy bought a bootlegged Laurel/Hardy shorts collection, he got lucky. Tried some other show, and no go. Pure bunk. It's hit or miss on those bootlegs.

I hate to admit but I may be starting to like Under the Dome. I'll give it one more chance to see if it can completely reel me in because I'm still a little skeptical.

VHS likely, as they've been around for years before the official DVD release came out

This is getting really bad. Cliches, overacting, DRAMA ALL THE DRAMA. I don't think I'll last much longer watching The Bridge.

Done with this one. Wanted to like it and the concept has promise, but it's just blah. Utter waste of Donald Sutherland.

Saw the first half or so of The Bridge. I feel like the overall show has promise but Kruger's main character is a disaster. It is the polar opposite of Breaking Bad where Cranston drew you in from the first moments of the show.

Was I too tired and miss something when the woman in Mexico climbed into the trunk of the car for that guy? That scene went completely over my head.

One thing that should be noted...Kruger's character has Asperger's. I thought the show was OK. I'll give it another couple episodes.

smitre: watch the rest of the show and that scene will make more sense.

Discovered AIRPLANE REPO on Discovery Channel tonight...

I was entertained... It's like any other repo show, but with planes and more MacGyver type of s*it... I will be watching again...

I caught it on some out there channel a few months ago. Was happy to see it was back and on Discovery.

Finally got caught up on Breaking Bad this week. All I have to say is :eek:. Walt went uber bad-***. Can't wait to see how they wrap things up.
