Just got done with Stranger Things S2 episode 7, and thank you all for the warning. Had I not known what utterly dreadful crap it was ahead of time I might have had a heart attack.
No spoilers till the end of the series, please, but wow, the inside story of how that flaming paper bag of poo got made is going to be interesting someday.
I'm not sure a good show has ever insulted its viewers worse.
The good thing is that they seemed to realize the mistake and get back down to business.
I've heard it's hilarious. I have to admit, looking at the summary, I thought it might have been a real case. Whoops.![]()
It's so well made and on point I seriously wonder whether people doing the actual work on the show (techs, camera, script writers) have worked the target shows too and are venting their rage spectacularly.
If you dont like it I get it...but the Vegas episode and the Reporter episode are aces even if you hate all the rest of it![]()
I'm 3 episodes into American Vandal. It's brilliant. A lethal takedown of the pretense and manipulation of Concern Viewing in general and true crime documentaries (The Jinx, Making a Murderer, etc) in particular. The tiniest touches are perfect from camera pans, interspersed graphics, pacing, outlining, to the introduction of new characters and revelations.
If you like shows that take a pin and pop a big ol' balloon, this one is for you.
More to the point it is incredibly funny and entertaining.
