Well. That happened.

If there was any doubt that Jax is expecting mayhem, just look at his demeanor with his last interactions with Nero and (especially) Unser tonight.

SOA (spoilers)

In the opening...I immediately thought Jax was saying goodbye to Nero, and setting up the rumored Nero/Wendy/boys endstory. Later on, with the Mayhem vote, that seemed to be the case. Jax is a dead man walking right now, and he knows it.* I do wonder what the bylaw is, though.

*Jax has nothing to lose. And he had to have the endstory with Gemma, and despite him not wanting to do it, it's why he offed Wayne. Jax is dead anyway, might as well kill a cop/longtime friend to get what he wants.

Bylaw might be something that gets Chibs the presidency?

On GPL, it was mentioned the "no non-whites" policy. It was brought up, but never voted on. That would bring in the Grim Bastards for "rights" purposes in the gang war. Makes sense.

Re: TV: The League Of Anarchy Is A Bunch Of Justified Mad Men

My first thought was the Grim ******** as Jax promised their leader.

I'm ready to wrap this up. Bring it on.

I have to admit, the Peg Bundy and Hell Boy references were the only ones I knew. The rest of them were a bit too general for someone who's not ever seen an episode of the show.

I got a little more out of it, with the movie references, but I still found it hilarious.

The Newsroom....

I knew we were approaching the end game... But sweet merciful crap

You had to figure the Jim and Maggie scenario would happen before the end, but the Charlie piece wasn't expected.

Also, Aaron Sorkin deserves all the applauds there are for putting out there the dangers the internet creates in getting information into that ever loving ether without any sort of vetting process. It can't be said enough about the dangers of mob rule that the internet creates.

Is there some type of penalty for false advertising for TV programs? Discovery owes me something for two hours of my life. You can't name it Eaten Alive and call it quits before the snake even makes it past the crown of the head.

The Newsroom has always been terrible, but good Lord, that may have been the ****tiest hour of television ever produced.

No, you deserve it for watching in the first place...

If you believe it to be "the ****tiest hour of televen ever produced", why are you watching it?

Re: TV: The League Of Anarchy Is A Bunch Of Justified Mad Men

Gave the pilot episode for State of Affairs a shot this weekend. My reaction was identical to my wife's: It's got Katherine Heigl in it, but what the hell?

It's the story of desk jockeys in the CIA, but they're also super bad a** agents. The love angle of Katherine Heigl being engaged to the President's son is way to heavy handed.

I wasn't expecting a Sorkin-esque copy of the West Wing involving the CIA, but they certainly could have used similar subtleties.

I may give the second episode a try. But this isn't a show I need to get caught up on.

You pretty much nailed it. It probably won't get much better. It's filler for me until Black List comes back. I wonder where it will go then?

Basically to finish it at this point. Charlie's death did elicit a genuine laugh from me though.
