If the ending wasn't so predictable (everything comes full circle), it would have been better, sure. The way it was TOLD, though...that's what matters. And I liked it. It wasn't great, it wasn't average, it was just solid. I mean, you go into your standard action movie, and I bet the good guy wins.
Liked that it was the same truck driver. Nice little twist there.
Overall, I think this show will age well with time. That's a big plus for a series. Will it ever be a top ten? Probably not, and I'm fine with that. I don't think the average viewer would disagree. I liked it quite a bit, and for me that all that matters, obviously.
I think Chibs really shined this season, as the backbone, kind of replacing Bobby (who was the backbone of the old guard, re: Clay). Chibs' character really balanced advisor/parental figure/brother/follower quite well.
