TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Ok, the timeline has become MUCH clearer, as I plowed through eps 3-5 tonight. The other characters (Daredevil, Black Sky, and Iron Fist) gave enough background story to fill in the blanks.

For me, it's a separate story altogether, like a bonus story to the individuals' main series. I know that happens a lot in comic books, and one of the reasons I shy away from such things. I like to know everything about everything when you introduce a "universe," and comics go way overboard on that. However, this series is pretty friggin' solid so far.

And Sigourney Weaver is sublime in her role.

And Black Sky is smokin'. :D

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Narcos S3 was released today. Not sure when I'll get to it but looking forward to see what they do post-Pablo.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

American Gods S1.4. We really are living in the golden age of television. The Anubis death / dune / door sequence was pure art.

Season 1 of Ozarks was outstanding!

On a whim I watched Halt and Catch Fire...blew through season 1 in like 2 days and loved it. Just started season 2 :)

I'm halfway through ozark. Holy crap! Heading out tonight but will be coming home to binge the last four.

Tomorrow is the finale of Twin Peaks- dont think I've ever been so excited for a tv show.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Narcos is really getting ugly. Showing at least the basics of the truths of how brutal the cartels are. Loving it. Pacho continues to be a "fave" (for lack of a better word) character of mine. Level-headed, but does what needs to be done. Salcedo...Sympathetic character, so to speak, and what a tough position to be in. Hoo-boy.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Finished up Narcos S3. Good finish, and it's headed where the next logical story is: Mexico (gee, SPOILER ALERT ;) ). A more swift ending than I anticipated on the Cali cartel, thought they could have fleshed it out a little more.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Gonna get all of Burn Notice on DVD as well. I joined the adventures of Mike, Fiona, and Sam Axe around S3.

Season 1 is rather rough...but you do get to see Fiona have an accent in one episode and completely without it in the next ;)

Not only Burn Notice, but Psych, House, and at least Scrubs. I caught up on Scrubs through Comedy Central and they edited out a lot.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Psych was brilliant...cant wait for the movie this Christmas!

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

I found a reason to watch Star Trek: Discovery. Rainn Wilson will play Harcourt Fenton Mudd.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Saturday morning westerns. Roy Rogers, Wyatt Earp and The Lone Ranger. It's like a sore dick, you can't beat it.

Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

On what? Odds are fairly good I already have it.

It is going to be on CBS All Access...I had the service for a month way back when it was pretty awful. I hope it has improved if they want this to work...
