I do like Road Trip but EuroTrip just has that something.

Yeah Road Trip had some moments but it was too in the shadow of American Pie. Euro Trip staked out some more of its own ground (though still owing a lot to other adventure comedies).

So I binge watched a couple of Netflix shows recently:

Love. Gillian Jacobs and Paul Rust. Made by Apatow. Very good. Short episodes so you can get through the two seasons quickly. Gillian Jacobs shows she was completely wasted on Community. (more on that in a second)

Friends from College. Pretty sweet cast with Cobie Smulders, Keegan Michael Kelly, Fred Savage as the stand outs. Nothing revolutionary but a nice show about a group of old college friends (some married, some having affairs) and their lives in their thirties. Fred Savage and KMK really steal the show.

I am also hate watching the last two seasons of Community. I literally have 1 episode left and cant force myself to watch it. When that show started I loved it but good lord no show has ever fallen off the rails so fast and so hard as that show did. And some like to pretend it was because Dan Harmon left, but honestly it started before that and according to the cast working with him was a pain anyways. The characters got super annoying and even the episodes about paintball or pillowfights got painful dumb and unfunny. That show was great for 2 years, ok for 2 years and was 3 years of unfunny writing and actors going through the motions collecting paychecks.

We also have this to look forward to in 2018. Rocko's Modern Life is returning to TV with a one hour special called "Static Cling."

I loved it until the end. I felt a little cheated at the end. Still VERY much worth the watch. Dunno if they are going to continue it or not....
Edit: And Gillian sure got better with age. Yowza!

The Defiant Ones on HBO is really **** good.

It's about Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine and how they came to dominate the industry. I'm not even a huge fan of a lot of the music featured on the show, but the history aspect is incredible.

Heard about this. Need a (cheap) way to watch this. Hopefully Netflix can secure disc-mode. Have heard NOTHING bad about it.
