Re: TV: The Golden Era Reborn

Yup, Cube is spot on.

This is something my mom instilled in me from a young age. I think I was about 8 when I (innocently!) referred to the people of Niger as, well...and not the correct "Nigerians". Needless to say, that got corrected very quickly.

It later came out that this was something her parents instilled in her, and bear in mind, she was born in 1955 to conservative Catholics, and my grandfather was a Marine. Dad is another story, but he came from a different, much more blue collar part of metro Detroit. So it wasn't until he was a teenager, and then went off to Ann Arbor, that he "evolved" on the issue.

While I agree with what Cube said, he wasnt even the first to say that in that episode...he was just less eloquent about it ;)

I realized after I posted I said she. You caught me before I could fix it.

Not sure where I got that.

Through eight episodes of season 5 of OITNB. Strong once again. I'm ready to say they have come back from the horrible 2nd and 3rd seasons.

Kep - I can forgive you for watching the Bachelor especially early on when there's so much eye candy. Insipid and vapid eye candy most of them but window shopping can be fun. But BIP? C'mon man.
