Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

DirecTV and News Corp. reached an agreement, so the channels won't go dark. So FX, FSC etc are all safe. On the down side, I lost a chance to get a huge rebate when DTV pulled the channels :(

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

The fivehead?

It's that, but something beyond just that. Maybe it's those period hairstyles along with the fivehead, and it looks like she may have been starving herself to lose weight lately, but she looks more alien than usual. She looks all fivehead, huge eyes, and jaw.

The bug eyes don't help, not to mention I think she is too short for the role. Pan Am stewardesses had a height requirement back in the day. I think they're fudging around it because she is the only name star on the show. To me, she's the weakest link of it.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

You better watch it Tweedle Dee might get mad at ya :p (j/k/ TD!) I agree the Slutty Pumpkin was rather dumb and pointless. Marshall and Lilly were just downright annoying all episode.

The Barney stuff was funny, especially the end when American Barney was fighting Canadian Barney :)

I haven't seen the ep. yet. In actuallity I haven't seen Field Trip either.

Definitely agree. She's by far the least believable as a 60s stewardess - something about her is just off, like.. which one of these things is not like the others? Still not a big fan of the whole spy thing, but at least it's a little more intriguing with Kate's relationship with Niko (I am guessing nobody watches this show for politics). They should accept that it's more like a fluffy soap opera, and it seems awkward when it tries to be more. Not my favorite new show, but it's entertaining enough to DVR.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

Also, watched the 2nd episode of Once Upon a Time last night...we both agreed that there are going to be issues about how long it can last as an actual series. Right now there are essentially 4 characters with everyone else being scenery, and the entire series is revolving around the boy. It really needs to open up some new doors and side plots, starting with rumplestiltskin. More info on the sheriff would be nice, too, since we have no idea of his lineage from fairy tale land (if he even has any). Right now it seems like something that would've been better done as a lengthy miniseries than an continuing drama.

HIMYM was disappointing outside of the Barney plot. Can't believe the slutty pumpkin plotline was wasted for a one-off appearance that bad.

I feel the same way about Revenge that you do with Once Upon a Tme. I am loving Revenge but can't see how it goes beyond one season without a downward dive inti sucking much like Prison Break.

Completely agree on HIMYM

She still looks damm fine in those period skirts, though.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

To answer the question, I thought Broke Girls would be first to go.

Body of Proof is a pretty good show.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

So have any shows actually been canceled yet?
Yes, but I don't remember most of them, in fact, all but one I forget. The only show whose title I can remember is the Playboy Club, and that's just due to all the advertising that went into launching the show. The show last maybe three episodes. It was Chevy Chase Show bad.

Re: TV Shows VII: Who gets canceled next?

It seems like SoA is really starting to build to a point where its ready to explode. I really didn't have a problem with Juice this episode, he's screwed no matter what, but he didn't **** me off any more with what he did this episode. I really hope that someone kills Clay pretty soon.
The Playboy Club, Free Agents, H8R. Charlie's Angels too if you count shows that aren't coming back, but get to finish their run.
What is H8R? I haven't even heard of it.

I just didn't get what his motivation was for going back to talk to Roosevelt towards the end. After he refused the bugged phones, I was convinced that he had finally stopped caring about the cops holding the black thing over his head- but the next time you see him he's back at the Police Station?

I'm really excited to see where the season ends up. The tension really has been ramped up to a fever pitch lately, and it truly is coming from all sides. I doubt that Clay gets his this season (as fulfilling as it would be, that conflict is too central to the story to end it now and not have it around for however many more seasons the show has left), but you have to imagine that the bodies will start dropping at some point in the next few episodes.
