In a double win for dx today, I fixed my DVR (it started to freeze every 30 seconds on almost every live show and on recorded shows) and the car. I can now watch Last Resort! Huzzah.

I think he means commercials.

And watched 5/13 SOA S4 eps tonight. Heard the rumblings of slowdowns and such for this season...I don't see it. Sure, if you compare it to the end of S3, it's slow, but that's a tough stretch to compare to. You can't keep upping the pace. IMO (and don't spoil anything), S4 is just ramping up for another S3 ending (guessing S5, so it can really go out with a bang after the [rumored] S7 Series Finale), but it will obviously take a few episodes.

Even I understood where joectt was going with the joke. dxmnkd316 said he was having problems with his DVR. Then he posts that he fixed his DVR and his car today. joecct tried to combine the two into one joke.

He's a BU alum!

Went to program my TiVo for tonight's shows planning to add an extra 30-45 minutes for the CBS shows because of the late football game and noticed TiVo finally figured out that CBS show start late on Sundays.

Threatening to nuke Sevastopol just to kill two hostages was epic. Great show. Either the writers are incapable of writing an interesting female character or TV is incapable or casting a competent actress. Enough of the no talent eye candy, please.

Am through S5 debut of SOA (caught the debut tonight, last day available for On Demand).

.....holy hell.

It's not too late. :)

The wife and I tried three new shows: Last Resort, Revolution, and Vegas. Last Resort totally kicks ***; it's a keeper. Revolution is butt hurt awful and we've given up -- great idea, terrible, terrible execution. Vegas is... what it is: scenery chewing between the two leading guys. Keeping that in mind, and fast forwarding through any scene with a woman, there is about 15 minutes of watchable television in it per episode.

ESPN is airing KHL hockey right now. It's in the first period of "KEV" vs. "DYN". I know the one team is the Moscow Dynamo, but I don't know KEV. ESPN's "NHL" announcers are covering the game. There are a lot of striking NHL players on the ice right now.

Well, maybe I'll try it.

Only new show I went with this year is the much maligned Elementary. I actually am enjoying the relationship between Holmes and Watson and am interested to see where it leads.

Season ender to Hell on Wheels was pretty good, lots of blood and mayhem. Poor Mr. Toole. Never expected the scene with The Swede and Lily.

And The Swede denying Cullen his expected retribution was a nice twist. "Have a good day!!"

I'm really looking forward to Nashville tomorrow night. And I'm also recording Chicago Fire on NBC. Not because I've read anything about it or that it sounds outstanding. It's a show about hot firemen. Of COURSE I'm recording. Before it gets cancelled three weeks later! :)
