Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

This show doesnt have misdirections anymore...99% of everything is rehashed stories and sitcom cliches now. It is sad because the show used to be pretty good at switching things up and being interesting. Them both freaking out is just jitters. Ted will save the day as best man.

The misdirection is...THERE IS NO TED!!

The twist could be that they are getting married at different times. Robin could be concerned about Barney because of their past or something else.

"Nice job, Cee-Lo, good to see you on TV some more!"
"Yeah, I'm a big fan of all your hit song!"

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

I still don't know how to feel about Revolution. I fear I'm going to get sucked into an awful show.
Only you can prevent this from happening.

(Well, the network can prevent it, too, but that might take a couple months.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

I got sucked into "How the States Got Their Shapes" and it's way, way better than I thought it was going to be. The humor bits with the locals are a waste of time, but the actual history portions are terrific and not just a rehash of stuff everybody who took a US history survey class knows. Midwesterners might know why Chicago isn't in Wisconsin, but I didn't.

Recommended.

Yeah the parts where they actually discuss how the states got their shapes is really good and interesting, but when they switch to random crap like South Carolinians telling us how much of awesome rebels they are it's kinda dumb.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

I watched How The states Got Their Shapes for a while...but it got rather repetitive. The history stuff was cool but the rest got old fast.

Law and Order SVU was pretty awesome last night :)

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

ABC has officially disappointed me. They call a show "What Would You Do?", and nowhere on that show is there sight of ANYTHING labelled "Pie Pod".
There's an episode of that show where they're in an ice cream parlor and they stage a stuttering customer being insulted by someone behind her in line to see what the other customers do; the ice cream place is in my hometown and the owner (the guy with the black t-shirt and long hair) is a good friend of my father's. Just saying is all.
Ok now Ted is just being an *** to his kids...
"now"? That's how he's been all along! You're in your eighth season, get to the point!

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

They show stuff the relates to history? Since when?

Everyone once in awhile, they will have an extended special to placate those of us who remember what the History Channel used to be about (WWI & II, lots of stock footage of Hitler, 'history of sex' shows after 11 PM :p). As soon as it's over, they restart back-to-back-to-back episodes of Pawn Stars and American Pickers.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

Sam Malone has saved the CSI franchise. Last year was a lot of fun and the cliffhanger resolve in this years season premiere was great. Criminal Minds was meh.

I know but he is telling the story and in the scene she is RIGHT NEXT TO HIM!! The kids should just say "So...you met her at the bus station? Sweet dinner time!" ;)

**** you Bob Saget...

I understand that they don't want us to meet the mother until Ted does, but (for me) knowing who the mother is but not how they meet wouldn't detract from the overall story. Actually, at this point, not knowing who the mother is actually detracts from the whole overall story for me (and why I NEVER EVER watch the show in syndication. Actually, I;m beginning to feel that I'm watching the new episodes out of some warped sense of obligation and not because I like the show anymore).
