So the wife (who feels guilty about it but doesn't care) has been watching Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and laughing hysterically at times and staring in amazement at other times.

I was trying to avoid it, coz I'm above such things, but I stared too long and got sucked in.

The 300 pound mom just went down a water slide.

Good god. Is this Fatsploitation?


I feel bad about myself... but I don't care. :D

I have unfortunately watched an episode of that show. The gf made me watch. In that one the 300lb mom was rolling around in mud, and the baby daddy sat in his yard in a Santa suit, in July, in Georgia.

No way will I ever watch that crap. I don't understand people's fascination with backwoods Southern stupidity at all, unless you're a fellow backwoods Southern dumbarse, I guess.

I don't understand why anyone would watch crappy "reality" shows to begin with. Or half the dreck that is on tv in the first place. It's like all the "job" shows now. Yes, I was a fan of Ice Road Truckers. Was. It got old. Fast. Why? Trucking related to my industry. However, it's the same old crap, or it's a job no one cares about. Yay, trash collectors! Yay gator hunters! Rat hunters! Garage sale hunters! Whoopee!

That explains a ton right there.

They used to have some fruity show on there called Trading Places, where they would re-decorate a room in each other's house. My sister used to love that ****ing show. All I remember is some stupid woman thought it was a good idea to glue straw all over one of the walls. That was more than enough for me right then and there.

I'll watch Deadliest Catch, and from time to time, Pawn Stars. Not much else is exactly appointment viewing.

And there's no way on God's green earth I'm watching those hillbillies go looking for alligators. Those clowns lost their freaking minds.

Pawn Stars was fun for the historical background of some of the items, but that wore thin after a season or so. I had no interest in the actual transaction. It was like real history in a nutshell, kinda.

I've pretty much given up on tv minuse 2-3 series and sports.

These two comments pretty much sum up the show from what I saw.

Hillbillies are fun coz you can point and laugh at a group of people who are different and it's not racist. :p:D

Hillbillies are only fun until you move into the county next door. Then they're just depressing.

(Same goes for Jersey Shore and South Boston.)
