TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

Well. It's a bit overdue, but Juice is a dead man.

Yep. Like I mentioned earlier.....he's just a naive kid, not a grisled vet like the others. A shame.

Funny how Gemma is so weak when she HAS to be manipulative, as opposed to how strong she is when she wants to be manipulative.

That last part with The Good Doctor.....creepy.

Good to see Otto has a decent human side to him, too.

Wondering now if the sheriff realizes how it works (flashback to Unser telling the sheriff how it works to know what I mean), or if the sheriff continues to try and buck the system.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

It seems like the writers have discovered the concept of a recurring storyline so I expect the show to become more compelling as the season goes on. The dirty cop story will be a good test.

They got picked up for a full season today. I'd point out that a lot of times, it's not that the writers can't/won't do a recurring storyline, but that they're forced to be more serialized by the network until they can prove they can gain an audience following. It's still a show from the L&O guy, so it's never going to stray too far from that format, but they should have a little more freedom now.

[ring]...[ring]...[ring]...

"Hello?"

Yeah, next Sunday can't come fast enough. Who the hell is on the other end of that phone call?

"Mokiki does the sloppy swish!"

I'll admit it was so stupid that it was quite funny. One of SNL's best recently. I'd rank this one up there with the old digital short "Punched before eating."

Gladiator segment = stupid

First time that I can recall where they did something that didn't really fit or feel right. I had heard that it's in the comics, but it just felt cheesy to me.

I like psycho Rick though.

Sons of Anarchy sure moved a lot of chess pieces around tonight, and in some very interesting ways. Very intriguing to see how this season will end.

The Fonz was approaching the ramp...
Not so sure I agree, but we'll just have to see how the Woodbury stuff pays off.

My thoughts EXACTLY: HELL of a chess game they are playing. I saw through Otto....didn't know he'd go that route, but he was gonna hang The Good Doctor.

Not just that, but Juice's actions tonight, Clay's reaching out to Galindo, Roosevelt's guilty conscience, Gemma's hesitance to follow through on her little spy mission and (to a lesser extent) Jax's continuing turn to the dark side... I'm actually really liking all of these developments. They all make sense for what we know about the characters, and there aren't any odd left turns like we've seen in other areas earlier this season (everything with Opie, the odd resolution to the Carla storyline, etc.).

I really have to give props for Clay's moves this season. Dude is as Machiavellian as they come.

I knew Otto was going to kill someone with the crucifix...I just thought it would be himself. I should have known, since everytime I think we've seen the last of Otto...something happens.

Clay is indeed a chess master (which in turn makes me feel bad for Juice, for the same reasons). Gemma I mentioned after last week's ep: she's not in control, so she's sooooooo weak in the manipulation area. She's actually doing somewhat well, considering. Jax going nuts is a natural progression of conflict of character....Chibs didn't surprise me, but yet he did, a little.

And for a brief moment, I was figuring at the end of the series, Bobby Elvis will be the last man standing. Smart guy, Bobby Elvis.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

Last Resort gets cancelled.

Now I can get back to not watching network TV outside of sports again.

And 666 Park Ave. :(

Heard that if the mid-winter / summer replacement shows are worse in the ratings, ABC retains the rights to return these shows.
