Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

I'll just go ahead with the spoilers since its not like we have too many Mountain/Pacific time people here. Did Carol get bitten off screen? Or was that her mangled corpse that the walkers were eating towards the end?

No, that was T-dog. It was right where he made his sacrificial stand.

Amazing show. Is even Daryl safe?

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

They got that other dude to take his place. They all look... er, I mean that got that other dude. :o
Isn't that the way Hollywood/TV works? Zombie survival story set in Georgia, over 30% African-American population, and we can barely fit more than one black guy in the cast at any given time.

Zombie Apocalypse must've re-instituted segregation.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

Food for thought...

They didn't actually show Carl shoot her. He may not have...

My wife was just saying imagine the C-section zombie. I certainly wouldn't put it past this show.

Rick's gonna lose it.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

They made it seem like Carol's gone as well, but maybe I just missed her in the last scene.

They found her hair thingy, but I can't imagine we'd have that kind of body count in one episode. I was shocked with two.

They didn't show her, but she's probably just separated.

What the heck are they gonna do for the mid-season cliff hanger?

Anyone watching 666 Park Avenue? NMUKat and I started watching it from the get go, and we both keep watching to see how creepy and weird it gets.

Some of this has been predictable, but most of the show seems unique (I never watched Lost, so this could be a repeat of ideas).

Still watching Apt23. It's still hilarious, especially the self depricating humor of Dawson.

Also got caught up with Nashville. The most recent episode was a little more soap than I was expecting compared to the first fewon episodes, but I'll give it a little bit more.

I'm watching all three. I'm not very impressed with 666 Park Avenue, if it doesn't pull me in a bit in the next few episodes I'll probably dump it from the DVR list.

I still love Nashville, but it is very predictable for me. I can already see how this season is going to end. I wish they would have more of Scarlett and Gunner singing, they were great in their duet at the end of the first episode.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

I might be the only one watching Chicago Fire. I still think it's one of the better new shows out there despite being panned by critics.

There was a new Fox show I saw an ad for yesterday. It had Kevin Bacon in it and the plot was intriguing enough for me to want to see more.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

Rather than quoting the previous three posts....

1. I have been watching 666 Park Avenue. I wasn't planning to and I don't know if I'm going to continue. I'm not really into the paranormal/devil/creepy stuff, but i's ABC, not cable. There's only so much it can be on a broadcast network. I really like the cast, just not necessarily the storylines. I may be giving it up soon. There is so much on Sunday nights now. I could use that hour back.

2. Don't Trust the B* in Apt. 23 has been very funny. Kristin Ritter is hysterical in the title role. I've been catching up with earlier seasons of Breaking Bad and she's in the episodes I've been watching and it's interesting to see her in a more normal mode. I think the show is perfectly matched with Happy Endings. I've been a bit disappointed with Happy Endings - it's not as good as last year. Still, though, very funny.

3. I. Love. Nashville. It's supposed to be a nightime soap. The acting is top notch. I've been reading a lot of complaints about Connie Britton's voice. I jsut don't think it's that bad at all. Plus, Tami Taylor can do no wrong. bb_dl - I don't know if I agree too much about the Scarlett and Gunnar subplot unless they eventually work them into the main story lines. The guy who plays Aiden (Scarlett's boyfriend) is played by one of the all time great teen soap actors - he was on General Hospital and you could just tell way back when he was light years ahead of any of his costars in terms of talent. I am so psyched to see him on a prime time show. I just don't like his character.

4. I've been watching Chicago Fire dx. Mostly because of the eye candy (Casey Severide can resue me any day - *fans self*). It's on opposite Nashville so I TiVo it while Nashville is on. It seems more like a CBS procedural show. It's not great, but it is definitely better than I thought it was going to be. NBC has ordered additinal scripts, so that's a good sign.

I've really been enjoying Scandal as well. Mostly because, like Nashville, it's not a show about doctors, lawyers or policemen.

It seems like the writers have discovered the concept of a recurring storyline so I expect the show to become more compelling as the season goes on. The dirty cop story will be a good test.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

Walking Dead was maybe the best episode since the first one.

And I think Carol's just missing. At least for now. At the end, I half expected her to walk up and put a hand on Daryl's shoulder.

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

Just watched Walking Dead on DVR. Excellent episode. I don't think Carol is dead either, she'll show up next episode, I'm guessing. I think it would be out of character for Carl to not shoot whatshername his mom, he's cold blooded, and he realizes that she's gone.

My gut tells me we haven't seen the last of Lori.

Very little in well written movies/shows happens by chance. If they take the time to show us something, it will come back at some point. If they intentionally don't show something, they may be doing that for a reason too.

This show keeps topping itself and I think they will use this. Who saw the Sophia thing coming? I certainly didn't and that shock was absolutely delicious.

Imagine Zombie-Lori with umbilical cord hanging out.

She could also still be alive and maybe Rick (or Carol) finds her just in time. Why have Carol go through that training on dead zombies if it won't come back? There you have it! Carol finds her and is able to stop the bleeding due to what she learned cutting open zombies. Book it!

I'm a genius. :D

Re: TV Shows Part 8: Cancel THIS.

AMC did an interview with the actress playing Lori and she talked about how emotional it was to shoot her final scenes and how she will miss playing the character. If Lori is coming back, they're doing a pretty extensive cover-up to portray otherwise.

I'm watching the show, too. The acting leaves a bit to be desired (especially Scarlet's man Severide, but hell, I love The Mentalist so I can hardly complain about marginal acting) but the show is entertaining enough. The dirty cop storyline is shaping up to be great. And the two leading ladies are gorgeous, which always helps.
