Depends on the recipe.
I just binge-watched the third season over this past week, and I dunno. It was good, especially the stuff in Italy, but when they got to the Red Dragon stuff, I just couldn't get past the retread feeling. And the cliffhanger
ending I thought was pretty lame.

Have you watched Rick and Morty? Adult swim show from the creator of community. Probably my favorite show
NBC had Community. In general, the networks are garbage because they aim for a garbage demographic. They design shows for the people who sing "all my rowdy friends are here on Monday night!" I mean, they do Survivor, Amazing Race, and The Bachelor.

They have been playing it a lot the past week. I had seen a few episodes here and there and liked it ok. But after seeing it more I love it. Actually went out and got the season 1 DVD.

From the networks I still enjoy Modern Family, The Good Wife, The Goldbergs, The Following, The Blacklist and Brooklyn 9-9. Have thought about giving Quantico a try. Otherwise we have 3 Nat Geo channels here that are on a lot, BBC, Ch News Asia, CNN, FNC, FYI, Discovery, H and H2.

Second season is legit. As someone who had previously never read a comic in their life, I went so far as to get the Rick and Morty comic. I love that show an unhealthy amount.

All scores as of early in the third period (i.e., around 11/10 -- I watch my TiVo in chron order but I am 3 weeks behind):
+ Fargo keeps getting better and better. Truly great show. A.
+ Scream Queens is the best surprise of the season -- it has no business being as good as it is. A.
+ Season 2 of Leftovers continues to sink into navel-gazing oblivion. Very disappointing on the heels of that wonder first season. C.
+ Last Kingdom remains totally kick as-s. B.

This. Really looking forward to the last couple episodes. If you can make Kirsten Dunst into a compelling character, you truly have great writing.
I hope for each season they keep going back another generation. Like next season could be about Papa Gerhart getting started.

Old time TV fans - my cable system popped in a new channel called Heroes&Icons (H&I - FIOS #15) that shows old shows.
Hill Street Blues starts tomorrow at 9pm ET.

Sounds like a couple channels added to my super-basic cable. Grit, MeTV, etc. Even Buzzr was added (old gameshows for the most part, some new stuff)

We get MeTV in DC. They played the full run of Peter Gunn; it was great. They also did Alfred Hitchcock Presents (also high quality), and a few old thriller shows like Night Gallery (Serling) and Thriller (Karloff). The latter two were interesting because they often recycled old radio scripts from shows like Escape and Arch Oboler's magnificent Lights Out.

In Minneapolis, that's channel 5.7 over the air, I think. Regardless, it's one of the channels that I don't really watch, mostly because I don't watch a lot of TV anymore.

Mixed feelings. Will he keep tarnishing the legacy of the first season or redeem it? I guess in keeping with the show it will be a messy mixture of both. (At least I hope so. A pat ending tying up all the loose ends and I'm going to hunt him down.)
