TV 20 - Sorry no fancy title

So apparently Hulu is releasing a new show about female divorce lawyers and it’s getting panned so hard you’d think someone found a gold nugget there once.

My wife is a divorce lawyer and I am reading some of the reviews and oh my fucking god I have to watch this now.

I gave it 5 minutes. What have they done to Naomi Watts and Glenn Close?

______

On the positive side E1 of Death By Lighting about the lives of Garfield and Guiteau leading up to their ill-fated encounter at a Washington train station was wonderful. There were a few out-of-period choices of dialogue that were slightly annoying, but both Michael Shannon as Garfield and Matthew Macfadeyn as Guiteau were brilliant. I don't know if I recognize the latter from anything but he has a slight Christoph Waltz like charisma to him.

It's Netflix of course, but as of E1 I'm more than encouraged to want to continue.

My wife’s sister is one of the organizers/hosts (all of whom are divorce lawyers) for MN’s “Divorce Camp”, an annual industry event for the divorce lawyers in the state. She will likely be cackling as she describes how bad it is to my wife.

And I thought I was brave when I married a women's studies professor.
My wife was briefly a divorce attorney when she tried her hand at private practice for a couple of years before rejoining the public defender's office.

Main thing she learned was that divorce is expensive for everyone, so she really really never wants to go through that personally.

Pluribus. Pilot episode is brilliant TV. If you know nothing about it, GREAT!, stay that way and go in 100% blind.

We are living in the golden age of television.

Dark Winds season 3 was released on Netflix on 10/27. Started last night. Halfway in and, for me at least, just as good as I felt S1 and S2 were. All 3 seasons currently hold a 100% on RT. Season 4 is currently filming I believe and set to premier in early 2026. Likely make its way to Netflix later in the year.

I hate what they did to the love interest from the books. Read the books. The show is fine but my god the books...
