TV 20 - Sorry no fancy title

Really enjoyed the French series The Lost Station Girls. Had a real sense of foreboding that I haven't felt this much since possibly the first season of Broadchurch.

I started a new season of Survivor for the first time in several years. Either my memory is deceiving me or Probst has had some facial work done.

Stumbled across a new show called Sheriff Country and decided to try Ep 1 not realizing it was a network show. I made it about 5 minutes before I shut it off. Horrible.

Honestly maybe I've watched less than I thought, but it's really noticeable to me now.

I think cameras are just better. The Nextflix Fuckboy Universe used to liberally douse the viewer with soft focus, particularly for hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey, to keep them reasonably humanoid-looking. But they gave up and now flaunt their full-body reptilian flesh with no apologies. Yikes.

Disney and YoutubeTV were fighting the last two weeks. Figured it was going to be like the NBC and Paramount contract talks where they came to a late night deal, but nope, this time both sides held firm. As of midnight last night, no ABC, ESPN networks, or any of the other Disney channels are available.

With the new deal all the best games have been on ABC for the SEC and MNF is also simulcasting on ABC, so frankly there isn't that much being missed at the moment besides channel flipping if a game is close, but we'll see how long this standoff lasts.

Switched to Hulu + Live TV this morning.

I'm glad I am at the point where I hate watching sports so much that I don't care anymore. Getting rid of everything and having a low bill is going to be fun.

Much like when I gave up pop 20 years ago giving up cable was easy and I do not miss it.
