Hug someone you care about...
This makes me mad...but the rumors of a spinoff or perhaps a TV movie at least salve the pain
I suppose there's a limit to what they can do, but man. I love this show.
Yes, the less shows that emulate the Simpsons in longevity, the better. It's better for it to end while you still love it, then go on past its prime and then start to suck. This is probably the best course for Psych.
"You hate bad boys and yet you married one."
True Detective, episode four. Wow, we jumped from Hannibal straight into Training Day. What a scene that raid on the stash house was.
What's that, exactly? That Lily has her own little Following? I think that was pretty clear after last week. Not sure what else happened that could be considered a bombshell. It was a pretty sub-par episode, IMO. It's getting pretty old watching Ryan Hardy getting arrested every week and then being let go. By the same FBI agent. Who keeps telling him, "This is the last time, I swear. Next time you're getting locked up!"The Following dropped a bombshell last night. Reminded me of The Black List.

That escalated quickly.
I just hope that they learn from the mistakes of HIMYM and cap this new series at four or five seasons.
I know for fans of the show, its dragged on too long, but many of us are still watching and the people that made HIMYM got paid for every episode making more money in 9 seasons than they would have in 4 or 5 so what motive would they have in wrapping it up sooner?
But we're not talking about the actors, we're talking about the writers, producers, show runners, etc. If those guys can get 9 years out of another show, thats a heck of alot better than trying to find work after only 5 years isn't it? Actors are a completely different animal, not to mention this doesn't sound like much of a spinoff other than some potential overlap, at this point it just sounds like a show from the same people about a different person (the mom) and how she met her husband. Maybe there will be some cross over but its not really a spinoff like Frasier or Joey in that its taking a character from the current show, and building on that?A lot of them would look at it as a reputation thing. If they were on a show that lasted four years instead of nine, but that four-year show was outstanding, then they'd use it as a huge resume' builder. With HIMYM, most of the cast would have to ask people to look at the first four or five seasons and hope that the last few are, more or less, forgiven by those casting in the future. Jason Segel has been reported many times as saying Lilly and Marshall had become cariacatures of how their roles began and was threatening to walk unless the writing for them improved. Nobody wants to be on a product that they know can absolutely be better.
You're right in that it sounds like a completely different character, unrelated to the current show. But we're not talking about the actors, we're talking about the writers, producers, show runners, etc. If those guys can get 9 years out of another show, thats a heck of alot better than trying to find work after only 5 years isn't it?
