So who's watching True Detectives ion HBO this weekend, with Woody Harrelson and Matthew Mconaheyheyhey? From what I've seen of the previews, looks like it could be pretty good.

I am planning on it, and agreed, it looks excellent.

Anyone who thought Alexandra Daddario from the Percy Jackson movies was hot might want to tune in.:o

Justified did not disappoint. What was surprising (and well executed) is that the Raylan vs Boyd feud has taken a back seat in the utmost degree. In the first 4 seasons, that connection was a rope. It's starting off as barely a thread this season, due to expanding storylines, and I love it.

I've heard good things, trying to convince the wife that we have time to add it to our viewing schedule.

Thanks for the pointer. :D

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

I watched Intelligence last night....still not sure if I like it. It will depend on if they create a unique storyline, so the show isn't just a "catch the bad guy" each week. I'll watch again, probably for a few weeks, then decide if I want to keep going with it.

I still have to watch Justified from last night. Completely forgot about it, but luckily I added it to the DVR a while ago, so it is recorded.

I watched it and I'm dropping it immediately.

#1 reason I'm dropping it is instead of leaving it on Tuesday they're moving it opposite The Blacklist on Monday. That means it's not long for this world.
It also just wasn't good enough or different enough to warrant continuing.

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

I'll probably stick with it for now, but while watching it, I just kept getting that vibe of that Poppy Montgomery show, Unforgettable. Kinda the same thing,. especially when he was "rendering".

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

I think I am probably glad I skipped it, then. May give in on a replay, but if I don't, doesn't seem like I'll regret it.

The half crap is the spending too much time speculating on possibilities instead of dealing with evidence. The "ancient aliens" portion if you will. The good stuff was very interesting with some evidence that possibly proves activity on the island prior to 1800. Hopefully they spend more time on the facts and evidence going forward but the previews make next week look like it's all about the curse.

That (the possibilities) was exactly what I was afraid would happen, first seeing the premiere, then seeing who produced it.

True Detective was excellent. It was a slow burn, as expected, but it was creepy, and dark, and just very well done. Harrelson and McConaughey were very good also. Definitely going to keep watching, but I figured that would be the case going into it.

Agreed. I think the pace will turn some people off, but can't wait for next week.

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

Confirmed that the American Broadchurch remake will have a different ending, which is almost too bad because playing the aggrieved wife is basically the one trick that pony Anna Gunn has at her disposal.

Wow. Did she steal your lunch money or something?

Agreed. Both Woody and McC turned in good performances. This is going to be fun.
