Last year when we went to McRudys Friday before a game they did not have any food other than off a short menu. Perhaps that was just a fluke or something. The Dugout and Howies usually have something pretty decent for free(taco bar, etc.). I think it depends on what your plans are for after the game and their proximity to other bars. Howies still has a free shuttle and I believe Rudys and the Dugout do as well. Free food on Saturday might be a challenge.

Thanks man, we are excited. Even more excited we are getting a girl and a boy. So you going to be at McRudy's this weekend? Leaving the ladies at home. Guys trip=me fighting Raboin's dad.

I will be at Howies on saturday night before the game. I don't go to McRudy's any more because they don't have food or pull tabs.

You're wondering what many of the UND/MN fans were wondering last week in our thread.

It's early in the season, people are just getting "warmed up" for hockey. The fanaticism isn't at its peak yet. Dunno why or how, but that's the way it is.

Leaving Duluth shortly...going to Cities first and then Vals and the Dugout or McRudy's. Not entirely sure. I heard Buffalo drinks are where its at.

Leaving Duluth shortly...going to Cities first and then Vals and the Dugout or McRudy's. Not entirely sure. I heard Buffalo drinks are where its at.

Buffalo drinks taste like vomit, which is fitting because that is what St. Cloud smells like.

And I agree with RWD on Vals. St. Cloud people think its so great because it is all they have.

UMD looks to have a trio of forwards that can score. They look tough.
I'm glad I have JConnolly on my fantasy team.

The only worrisome thing for them is if those three stop scoring...

I would pass on the buffalo, the dirty buf is the only one I ever get, its not completely horrible.
And we don't like Val's because that's all we have because St. Cloud basically has at least 1 of every food place if not multiple.

If that happens, I will expect a meteor to crash into Duluth. If you saw some of the goals they scored this weekend, I don't think you'd think that was such an issue
