Based on comments from some UMD fans it sure doesn't feel that way. I love our local commits but I agree that our program needs to tape into the the Canada better. Next year we could have as many players from Illinois as Canada (at one each)!

Am I in the minority in thinking that WASN'T a penalty on the Serratore hit? Yeah, it ended up being pretty nasty, but just because a guy ends up getting hurt doesn't make it a penalty. It turned out pretty ugly for Serratore, but I didn't think it was a clean cut penalty and watching the game with my brother, he agreed.

It was definitely at least interference. Serratore didn't have the puck, wasn't in position to get the puck there, the UMD player wasn't attempting to play the puck, he just hit Serratore. Textbook example of Interference.

Whether it should have been anything more serious (CFB/Boarding) I'm really not sure on and I'd need to see the replay a few more times to tell for. Given the way he was driven into the boards, and the supposed emphasis on calling penalties on potentially dangerous hits, this probably should have been a boarding call, at least arguably 5 minutes.

If they'd called 2 for Boarding or Interference, I'd have been OK with the call, but not even getting called for Interference is just stupid.

Biddy, people just do not know what they are talking about...stay positive! Brett Boehm won his league's rookie of the year honors for Flin Flon, and Willie Raskob is puttin up some numbers as a D for Shattuck. Farley and Cameranesi are going to continue to get better. I've liked what I've seen out of Decowski, Sampair, and Young also.
