IIRC correctly, it's only happened once.
One win may give UNO confidence, but one loss won't destroy this team right now, not with the confidence they are playing with.

Every year is different. I think UND was the only team to beat them at home if I remember right. I didn't say they wouldn't win. I think it depends on who wins Friday. If they lose Friday my gut feeling says they will lose the series. If they win Friday they will sweep. I hope they win Friday.:D

If we're gonna talk about one of these two teams wilting... I'd look at UNO. What have they proven? Last year they got beat in the first round as a 3 seed and this year they needed a win either night this past weekend to get home ice... or even a tie Saturday to force us to find that OT game-winner. SCSU hasn't played horrible in big games the last two years... there just haven't been really any big games to play. I'd say this past weekend's counted.

They have swept one team all year and that shows they are not consistant. Right now UNO is on the ropes and the Huskies have to go for the kill. If they win Friday I don't see how UNO wins saturday after how they have played in the last month. If UNO wins Friday they have new life and the old saying this is a new season starts making them believe they can win. Like I said just my opinion.

Like Euro said though, every time they've lost in the last couple of months, they've come back very strong the next game.
Yeah they are inconsistent, 6th place teams usually are.
They are a young team learning how to win in this league, and I think this weekend gave them a lot of confidence for the playoffs.
Personally I don't see any upsets in the first round.

That is why I said if they lose Friday they will lose in three games. If they can't sweep a team on the ropes like UNO, I have no faith they can win a game three because they never win two in a row. So let's jsut pound them the first two games and rest up for the final five....

They've won 2 in a row, 5 times this year.
And if they never win 2 in a row, then they won't sweep anyway now will they. :)

Because without Minnesota and Wisconsin, the significance of winning the MacNaughton is diminished.
