tUMD comes off a big home sweep of CC (thank you), SCSU comes off a split at Tech.

Both of these teams need to win the series and a lot of help to accomplish their goal; SCSU needs 3 and likely 4 points to get home ice, tUMD needs to win the series and for UW to stop playing like they've been playing all season in order to win a McNaughton.

This series usually is determined by home-ice, so while I think a lot of people look at it on paper and say UMD takes 3 or 4, a split at the worst, I actually believe SCSU can win this series by feeding off the crowd and most importantly taking advantage of tUMD with the big ice.

The other thing SCSU has going for it is if they win Friday, Duluth can't win the McNaughton and maybe stop riding Reiter and give him a night off... even if they tie as long as MN manages to get a point then the McNaughton dream is over for Daloot.

I wanted to make the thread and not have the angry face just you **** you guys off. But I couldn't think of a thread title...
This UMD team gives me hope that they will reverse their history at the NHC. They are playing very well right now and the PP is one fire. I am expecting a split but hoping for much more.

Expecting a split but hoping for MUCH more? What is this "much more" you're hoping for? And is it something that MEg won't approve of?

To be honest, I would like to blame it on the fact that I was thrown off by our fantasy trophy which we named the "McNaughty," but I just looked at it and nope... we spelled it the "MacNaughty"... so I have no idea why the **** I started spelling it Mc and not Mac... :confused:

You really take this fantasy league too seriously! You should try to loosen up more. Perhaps try letting MEg draft your team next year. It's an adventure.

I noticed that my phone constantly tries to correct it to the incorrect spelling. Quite annoying, seeming it is supposed to save anything I enter.

A Sweep. Oh she would greatly approve of it as it would help Tech's home Ice aspirations.

Can someone explain why SCCC's tickets are so expensive? 30 for UMD? Yesh.

I am excited for some buffaloes and Val's. I'll be at both games

It is quite impressive how she is more incompetent at drafting than Jamie Russell is at coaching.

Not really... Splitting with us would pretty much all they need you guys to do to take care of us cuz I think MTU needs to at least split to get home ice anyway

Oh I suppose. So focused on our situation that I haven't followed the hunt for home ice and the other seeds

How has SCSU been playing as of late?

Inconsistent and decimated with injuries up front. Played two good games where our lack of bench killed us and got swept in two one-goal games by Gophers, sweep in Wisconsin with a blowout Friday then need a third period comeback with the GWG by a blueliner turned winger due to injuries, lose to UAA in OT then destroy them Sat, win convincingly in Houghton Fri then play well but not great and miss out on probably a point bc Lee plays a great game then has one bad moment on the second goal.

SCSU has to figure out how to win close games. Interestingly we are 4th in the WCHA in goal differential in both conference games and overall but one and two games under .500 respectively.

It saves everything you enter? That seems annoying, as it would then save any typos or spelling errors made from texting in haste. I suppose you could add it manually if it's not working.

Actually, this isn't true. The Gophers win the tiebreaker for seeding, but if we both end up with the same amount of points, i.e. we sweep they split, we are tied for points and both teams are co-champions.
