At work we play this daily trivia (10 questions) just for a fun break. I set up a private one for USCHO if people want to try it. Private just means you can't search for it on the web site. Its in no way locked.

Yeah, sure. I put my e-mail address in there and next thing I know, my in box is filled with offers for Viagra, "male enhancement" drugs, and offers from Nigerian Vice-Presidents. :p

I'd be up for trying out new places, I just started going to Toby's because I was fed up with loud crappy club music that is always played at bars. But I'm not going anywhere else the night after thanksgiving, I don't want to miss the band that is playing that night. Any other night we're thinking of going out, we can check other places out, hell, we could go back downtown again, though I don't know if that really interests me too much. Too many black people with guns down there.

no, I'll be doing Thanksgiving in Colorado that day. I'm working thanksgiving day, but it's my last day of reserve, so hopefully I'll be back in that night to Denver. I'll be around Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I already told Brent I'm up for OC on Sunday.

At one point this spring, my boss had xkcd, penny arcade, and other sites blocked. God forbid I wanted to look up a web comic. And Slacker/Pandora/etc. are STILL blocked, as are ESPN, TSN, NBC, etc. because they're "television." Facebook is blocked but YouTube is okay. I'm lucky they forgot to re-block USCHO.


I am able to circumvent the filter when I want to, but I don't like doing that on my work computer too often as it makes Outlook's Exchange server connection stop working. I have set my iPod up to get around the filter, so I can at least get to internet radio and facebook (maybe I'll check the link out on my iPod).

I can't listen to any music or watch videos over the net at work, but if I want to listen to music I just use my phone anyway. Some sites are blocked, but less than before. Recently they unblocked shopping sites like Amazon and ebay, and now I can go to ESPN and facebook. I still can't go to anything that it thinks is a game, so no fantasy sports, or any site that plays music or videos.

Unfortunately there aren't any bars around, that I know of, that have a mechanical bull. :(

edit: jf, saw your rep. I stick to to the good looking ones. Heifers stay in the pasture, and out of the bed. ;)
