Nice. I recorded last night's episode, I think (haven't been home in a few nights as we are house/dog sitting for a friend). Thinking this whole week will be quite fantastic and then things will settle down a bit.

Well, this is where you're wrong. I'm from a small town in central Mass, near a small city, about an hour from the nearest "real" city.

I guess to total rednecks that makes me "cityfolk", but for people with IQ's above couch cushions, I'm pretty far from being "from the city".

I'm not from a town, I grew up on a farm. Country music reminds me of home and the way everything was growing up, these are good memories. If you can't figure that out, you are not the right person to be commenting on IQ's.

I'd gladly exchange slightly higher prices for WAY higher taxes (a small portion of which are actually used to pay the farmers).

I agree completey with that. The problem is, slightly higher prices doesn't get money into farmers pockets either, it lines the wallets of Cargill and CHS. Those companies want to control agriculture throughout all phases of production, giving them more power and money isn't a good thing, IMO. They would try to force out small producers and control production themselves, until they control the market. Then you'll see higher food prices. Cargill already controls food markets for entire third world countries...

While I've been prepping to paint a wall my cable company seemed to think that not enough people are up now and shut off all the channels above the very basic selection. So I've had PBS on for noise. They're airing this classic snowmobile festival up on Fish Lake. The movie Fargo doesn't get it too wrong with the northern MN accent. And all the people being interviewed are named Carlson, Larson or Hegstad and the such. Norrlanders all the way.

Yeah, that is just southeast of where I grew up a little bit. We're just west of Red Wing and Hay Creek is just south of Red Wing. I didn't realize that Hader had expanded down that way too, those guys are effing huge.
