Re: TRP: Will Wh*re for Pancakes

Wow, I had a delicious sandwich for dinner tonight: turkey leg meat, braised in milk, salt and pepper, shredded, topped with fried onions on toasted pullman bread. Texture of the meat was like pulled pork. Awesome!

Re: TRP: Will Wh*re for Pancakes

Gotta mix in some Rage, ODB (Wu-Tang would be acceptable), and the Ramones. And a huge dose of AC/DC.

and none of that will happen, since he's obsessed with Trace Adkins, Garth Brooks, Josh Turner, and the likes.

Maybe bb_dl is into country boys...maybe he's actually into men?

Re: TRP: Will Wh*re for Pancakes

Chris Cornell might be the greatest singer in all of music.

Challenge me. Do it.

I'll challenge you!

Freddy Mercury
Aretha Franklin
Geoff Tate
Messiah Marcolin
Timo Tolkki
Ronnie James Dio
Bruce Dickinson
Rob Halford
Roger Daltrey

Just to name a few

Re: TRP: Will Wh*re for Pancakes

I definitely think Cornell is up there (I'm a HUGE Soundgarden fan). Similarly, I always liked the band in Rage, but found the rap vocals awful. Put those together and you have potential for a fantastic super group.

Unfortunately, for one reason or another (health?) Cornell couldn't sing like he used to and they seemed overall boring and disinterested. The music was bland and uninspired. Like I said, lots of promise, zero delivery.

Cigs, booze, and constant touring eventually take their toll on any singer. He has sounded better since he quit smoking, but you're only 25 once.

Audioslave's music was above average radio rock (especially considering what has been popular for most of the last decade); nothing more, nothing less.

yeah, a stint in rehab + some other personal problems and he's just not like what he used to be. Early Audioslave was awesome.

David Draiman and Chester Bennington, of Disturbed and Linkin Park have both said Cornell is the greatest voice in music though...

The day I take opinions from people associated with those bands is the day I check out of this existence.

Re: TRP: Will Wh*re for Pancakes

Aretha < Cornell? Really, Bro Gin?

That solidifies it. You're a moron.

Re: TRP: Will Wh*re for Pancakes

but she's not singing anymore...Cornell still is. In her heydey, yes. But now? No.

Greatest voice of all time? Now THAT'S a debate

You said greatest voice in music. You did not set a time parameter.

BOX.

Re: TRP: Will Wh*re for Pancakes

I didn't say "in history". I said "in music". That means currently.

Now, who is the greatest voice in music history?

I beg to differ on "in music." That sets no timeline.

Now, in history? Jeez, you even have to look at people like Pavarotti.
