Give it some time. You will eventually come around.

I recommend attending summerfest this year if you haven't already. Awesome music, plenty of beer, awesome food, and oh yeah its really cheap too. :D

I think this deserves a moment of silence, and a drink in honor of that bar. :(

i know about summerfest, unfortunately, i can't go. i work 10 hour days everyday from the end of may/beginning of june until mid september. besides, i only drink liquer, no beer. hopefully i'm only here for one more season, then i may be off to florida (not sure how i feel about that one)

Well that's your problem right there. You don't like beer, get the hell out. ;)

As much as WI does suck, I don't think FL will be an improvement.

I googled "typical Wisconsin fan" and "typical Florida fan" and this is the first result of each:

That's a tough call. So, I'll go with more sun, no bitter cold, beaches/ocean, and no income tax.

You have hurricanes vs tornadoes, that's a wash.

Sports, well, that's a wash when it comes to the state's team(s), but coverage is probably in favor of WI. However, the F4 is in Tampa in 2012, which is favorable to SCuM, assuming she's still there.

And there's probably more hot guys in Florida than WI, because of the weather/beaches/etc, which I know SCuM would like.

No it isn't. Going to the basement for a few minutes isn't the same as evacuating for a few days and boarding up windows. While I am guessing the vast majority of people in the upper midwest have not been directly impacted by a tornado, I think I can safely assume that the vast majority (perhaps all) of those living in Florida for at least a few years have been impacted by a hurricane.

Madison isn't really Wisconsin, they just had to host the University of Wisconsin in exchange for being allowed to secede.

He doesn't have to wear his mullet to work the next day, so I would think it makes it better.

This shouldn't even be an argument. The UP is much better than Wisconsin, and no, Madison doesn't count in this because Madison is the complete opposite of the rest of the state.

he sits 6 rows down at Vikings games from where my parents had season tix. He's actually a clean cut weightlifter from Winnipeg who drives down for every Vikings game. Nicest guy you'd ever meet. He's the one Randy Moss used to point to and jump up into his arms.
