Alright, I got in a drunken argument last weekend about this, and it got pretty heated. Is the Flying V offsides or not?
dear whomever,
please provide me with enough (tolerable) coffee to get through today without slapping anyone. it is only 8 am and I have already had several close calls. perhaps getting up at 5 am does not suit me, but it's too late to change that for today.
thanks so much,
jen

p.s. it's days like this... when I miss the nacho thread most.
And it's gonna storm this morning (and probably again this evening/tonight).FIIF. That is all.
When I was a lot younger, a friend had a screen that mounted on a desktop monitor to cut down on glare. I would imagine the same principle would work for a laptop, though I don't know whether anyone actually makes screens like that anymore. (This is assuming your concern is glare and not that the screen isn't bright enough, which I don't know how to help you with.)Is there some sort of screen you can get at an office supply store that will allow you to see a laptop screen out in the bright sunshine? I'm off of work today but have some stuff I need to do so I thought I'd sit by the pool and do some work (yay - it's not too far rfom my wireless router!). Couldn't see a thing so I am now sitting on my balcony in the share so it's easier to see. Defeats the point of sitting out and getting sun. I would work so many more hours if I could do this every day.

We've got lows this week in the mid-to-upper 70's. The low on Wednesday and Thursday is supposed to be 77.
It's hot in my apartment. 20ft high ceilings and only heat/hw is included. I need AC. Last week it was 82 at 3am, couldn't sleep.
BTW, Clown:
As for this thread title, it's *ing here. Happy now?
I have vaulted ceilings in my apt. A/C is working OT. It's keeping it comfortable (for my tastes) but I can tell that others would think it's still warm in here. Of course, compared to outside, it's freezing.
The most my thermostat has had my A/C running during a day is about 5.5 hours give or take. That was during the 100+ days we had in June. Today it's ran a total of 7 hrs. Not looking forward to this month's energy bill.
Your AC sucks. Jut thought you should know...If I don't have it on "fan" (in this weather I have it on "high cool") it runs just about constantly. That's the one drawback to this apt: a window A/C rather than central air, which many apts have in this area. It just adds about $100/mo to the rent.
