Re: TRP: Hail Marys And False Hopes

For the person that wrote that text, it's a rare occurrence so I could see remembering the last day. Especially if it was a significant date to the person....maybe someone felt pity for them on their birthday or something like that.

It might be a woman. Women usually keep better track of dates.

Re: TRP: Hail Marys And False Hopes

Appropriately enough, after discussing with Brent last night my trip to DMV this morning, one of the answers in the crossword I did while I was waiting for my number to be called was "rube". :D

And some say I don't help people. :D

when I was in my drought way back in the day...I knew I was coming up on 9 months...then the drought ended. :D

Whoever keeps track of that down to the day needs serious help. And I'm a few days ago.:D

We are "upgrading" our mail server here at work. What this means is that we have a new mail server, which doesn't work properly yet, that will handle new traffic, while maintaining the old server, which is overburdened, to store records of old traffic, and to switch between accessing one or the other will apparently require us to shut down and restart Outlook, which takes about a minute on this POS computer. What a pain.

I've never liked Exchange and Outlook for that reason. Great features, etc. but Exchange is a pig, and Outlook is a pig, and piggy software gives you the scenario you have now. I manage email here at work and run a nice lightweight POP3/IMAP/SMTP server and I personally use Thunderbird for email. Never have any issues upgrading, etc. I do understand why people run Exchange/Outlook though, it does do a lot of cool stuff.

I like Outlook, but if I were running the mail setup for a business and I to choose an email program for everyone to run, and I was trying to simplify things all around, I think I'd go with Thunderbird.

Re: TRP: Hail Marys And False Hopes

We use Lotus Notes for email at work. It works ok, does alot of stuff, no complaints except for the initial setup which took about 5 calls to help desk to get figured out.
