Also, not sure how involved you want to be, but maybe help him set up a budget? Sometimes it's easier when you have a second set of eyes giving you a hand. I have a spreadsheet I can send you that I use to track expenses. You certainly don't need one as complex as I have, but it definitely is worth keeping track of exactly where that money goes (the pie chart of expenses is staggering when you start out and realize what portion of your money goes where).

Yeah, definitely true about me!

I spend alot and I've had many loans and I'm always able to get them paid off early, so I guess I don't have much of a problem with my spending habits. Though, it will be nice when I get my truck paid off, so I get an extra $600 a month for spending money, or to save.

The funniest thing about the new truck, it has 9000 miles on it and is in mint condition, and it sits in a shed at my dad's farm, while I drive a $2000, 20 year old Jeep Wrangler. You wouldn't believe how much **** I get for that.:p

the thing is, he's in a job that as soon as it gets going, will pay him a LOT of money...but until that happens, he's really got no income coming in. So a budget doesn't help. Really, I'm thinking a bankruptcy is the best option...I know it screws him over for a long time, but really, what else is there?

Well, unless that few hundred you were going to loan him was going towards legal fees for the BK, you really weren't going to help him.

FF trade question...Brent, looking at you on this one.

I would give up Steve Smith and Matt Forte. I'd get Fred Jackson, Brandon Marshall, and Steve Slaton. Thoughts?
