TRP: Free of political butthurt since 1999.

Re: TRP: Free of political butthurt since 1999.

Just fried up some bacon for salads for lunch the next couple days. The whole house smells like bacon now. This might not have been the best idea right before bed.

In the 9 years since I move out of my parents' place, I have never once made bacon.

Unrelated comment: glad my fridge is full of beer.

Please keep your political views out of this thread.
Or else someone may get butthurt. Can't have that going on here.

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

I saw a fox a few days ago run across a relatively busy two lane road and hop over a construction barrier wall. Maybe he was after a flock of geese that had landed near the corn field.

Okay, the stupid commercial for the Nokia phone with the great camera, where the parents are fighting for the best photo of their kids in the pageant, it makes me laugh each and every time. I don't know why, but I feel a little less of a man for having admitted that.

Considering I want to iStab that commercial to death, yes.

Can anyone suggest a fun gift for a new grandmother? My mom, who recently became one (my sister is the new parent, not me, in case you thought I was burying the lead), has her birthday coming up, and I think something appropriately grandmother-y might be a good pick for her, but I can't really come up with anything specific along those lines.

Ensure and Viagra?

Also a good choice.

Mothers often like pictures of their family. How about a framed pic of your your niece/nephew, with g'ma if possible, or in one of those multi-pic frames with the child and g'ma and maybe others
