Watching Behind The Music with Eve.

Yeah, I'd touch her.

But I never would wanna pi* her off.

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

you know what I hate? When you read a facebook update on the feed and post a comment only to realize it wasn't the person you thought and now it's awkward because you haven't talked to them in years?

Rule #1: don't be a Facebook Whore.

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

I wish I drove less. My daily commute is 75 miles round trip. Plus, I drive to Long Island a couple times a month.

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

My commute this time of year is 4 miles round trip. During the school year, on days I carpool it is 16, and on days I drive myself it's 42.

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

I have a friend of mine who, although is a good person, tends to be quite immature... Right now, other friends and I estimate that he is about 3-5 years behind our peers when it comes to things like relationships, work/career ethic, and life in general... He still lives at home and relies on his parents for a lot of stuff that most people in their 20's will take care of on their own... Hard to put to words here, but the kid basically acts like a college freshman at times, despite having a college degree...

Today I just got an invite to a "Party" of his via Facebook... His parents are out of town and he wants everyone to drink at his place this weekend... Part of me just wants to ignore him and go to the bar with others that he invited... Another part of me somehow wants to accidentally invite 400 people via Facebook and give him the experience of the ultimate "High School Party" gone wrong ;)

Either way, this whole thing took me back to like 2001-2003 :D

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

Go to the bar.

Although, I think most people would agree that inviting half of facebook would result in an epic meltdown.

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

What they said.

And back to the car thing, I'm surprised by how few miles people are putting on their cars. I don't think I've taken too many roadtrips this year but my mileage seems high in comparison.

Bought my '07 Mazda 3 in March of 2009 with 23k miles on it. It now has 59k.

I think commutes are much shorter in general, due to people moving closer to their jobs. It definitely has been a factor for me for the last 15 years or so, after having 2 years' worth of 45-60 minute (one way) commutes. I couldn't stand it.

Also, a Jeep Wrangler isn't the most economical for a road trip. ;)

x2. Perhaps the only thing worse was my '90 Ford Bronco II from college. Similar fuel economy and a TWENTY-EIGHT gallon fuel tank. I filled it up at 3/4 of a tank left on occasion.

I usually go half tank, lasts me a week plus or so.

It's also the space. Like I said, the backseat is completely pointless. For any kind of trip, it's 2 plus luggage.

Although you can fit 7 in one, if one so desired. Not recommended, but doable.

My backseat folds up. Still, after my bag for the removable hardtop panels, toolbox, and emergency kit (2 Tupperware baskets full of extra fluids, jumper cables, tow straps, air compressor, first aid/survival kit, etc.) there isn't any room for groceries.

My backseat folds (and is also removable), but makes no difference. If I remove the seat, then it's uncomfortable for any 3rd+ passengers. ;)

And with the softtop, you would still have room. :p Just sayin'.

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

Can someone please implode my car!? It was in the shop yesterday and they couldn't find anything wrong. The one time the bastard behaves when it was not supposed to.

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

For you locals in the NW suburbs of Minneapolis, this weekend is the annual Dudley softball tourney, where the big boys play. IIRC, it's the biggest tourney in the nation, not counting the national championships.

It's cheap, it's fun, and of course there's beer and food. :D

Also, WCCO news will be doing a story on the tourney tonight, and my buddy's dad will be interviewed, since he runs the thing. The guy is awesome (some of the stories he has when he was a young gentleman are friggin' hilarious).
