TRP: Felching Sucks

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

I just got home after playing a weekend charity hockey tournament - Hockey for the Heart. My team should not have gone to the bar between our first and second games today. The standings worked out that after the round robin part of the tournament, we had to play the same team we had just beaten 6-1. After the, um, short trip to Sally's (only 5 block walk from Ridder), we ended up losing to that team 4-0. Ouch.

Sounds like the average softball tourney. :D

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

Along similar lines, my softball/floor hockey team probably should not have eaten wings and played drinking games in the sun in between our softball game yesterday afternoon and our hockey game last night.

And, actually, I was once shut down for a calculator. And, not by FM, but by an NMU guy. My pre-med boyfriend my freshman year spent 2 hours one time at my dorm doing homework and playing a chem review game on his calculator. I just remember thinking, "Uh, why did you come over again?" We didn't last too much longer.
Boys are dumb.

A similar story is why I stopped dating Electrical/Computer Enginerds. Bf didn't even look away from the computer to say "hi" once when I came over.

I believe I've figured out that Mechanical Engineers are just about the right level of nerdy for me.

I've had that happen to me as well on several occasions. Only this person wasn't even an engineer/engineering student, but a music major. They're their own brand of weird, though. For all the teasing I give FM, he at least doesn't do that.

Not all Electrical engineers are hopeless, I married one. :D
So how do chemical engineers fit into this? :p

Nerdier than EEs, of course. :p
Oh, much nerdier.

You guys are so busy studying and worrying about which $70,000/year entry-level job you're going to accept that you don't have time to even think about women. :p
Hmm... maybe that explains why I saw the ChemE that I dated in college working at Sears after graduation. (he was thinking too much about girls, and not enough about employment?)

Well, I didn't say that every ChemE was dedicated to his/her studies. ;)

Seems to happen to them as often as the CpE/EE types though. A lot of times they want to be pharmacists or pharmaceutical researchers and whatnot.

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

Some of the best advice we received as ChemEs back in college was "date within the major"

Re: TRP: Felching Sucks

if you want to see a convention of nerds, go to Grand Forks and hit the aviation buildings. You will just see a bunch of idiots with no girlfriends standing around talking about how they just got their first experience in the clouds, or the fact that their last landing was so good the instructor bought them a juice at the bookstore.

I was never one of those. I was one of the aviation kids getting some on a regular basis. :D

Why did I not know this 4 years ago!? :p What the hell did I get myself into!? Dam Music Majors.

QFT. Though I wasn't getting any, but it wasn't because I was an aviation nerd...

Weren't you getting some from another aviation person for most of your time in Grand Forks? :p

yeah but I didn't meet her until late my freshman year. So I obviously had some social skills prior to meeting her.
