Yeah discussing politics online is rather like masturbating with a cheese grater. I mean sure you eventually finish, but at what cost? AT WHAT COST?!

Agreed. It's annoying. You're not going the change the other person's mind, so why bother.

And I like radishes. They're awesome.

Re: TRP: Changing Conferences Since 1999

I made a chicken soup tonight.

Of course, in the process, I discovered my crock pot doesn't seem to heat up the way it should.

But I have achieved chicken soup. I made a stock with turkey and rabbit bones. Never bothered with that before, but it's pretty awesome!

Re: TRP: Changing Conferences Since 1999

I found $100 in B&N gift cards in my stuff I moved from my old place. Awesome day.

Tell that to the guy who runs GPL. I apparently get it as my title over there as the letter that hangs around my neck.

Jupiter's a good guy. He runs GPL a little too intensely at times, but he's a really good guy. However, he is a really slow skater but somehow uses that to his advantage to get the tap-in goals. :)

Speaking of GPL, I think it's been about three years since I've posted on that site.

Re: TRP: Changing Conferences Since 1999

I think he does a great job of it, especially since it's basically a hobby. Yes, once in a while something happens that someone disagrees with, but I'd rather have that then crap like the political drivel that is spewed here (both sides).

Absolutely. He's great to hang out with pre/post game on the road trips.

Because I don't really want to troll ALL the Wild fans in the new thread:

Don't worry, nothing can stop the Wild (except their own lack of talent inevitably catching up with them).

Oh, they have quite a bit of talent. But most of it is on the blue line, in net, quite young or quite old, or two of the above. Net result, not much goal scoring making it not that unlike Lemerre coached teams.:( Hopefully some of that young talent will continue to develop and in a couple years we'll be able to see them make a run at the cup. *fingers crossed*

Reality is going to catch up with this team, No way around it. The goalies are not going to keep putting up 935+ sv% and you give up the 5th most shots per game. Add to that no margin for error because the team averages 2.4 g/g. Basically a race to score 2. Interestingly enough, if the Wild score first or are leading after either the 1st or the 2nd periods has little impact of if they win the game or not.

Re: TRP: Changing Conferences Since 1999

They are more fun to watch than Lemaire teams. They are still playing a defensive style no doubt about it.
