I got the impression he annoyed the Tech fanbase before he came to NMU.

Yeah, but it got worse when NMU started in on their usual second half run and Tech's supposed 'break out year' didn't materialize after a nearly disastrous weekend in Anchorage. The resulting hangover continued through most of the remaining games, and Foxton kinda took the opportunity to rub it in.

Not that I blame him.

What is probably an insult was back in the day when we had that ridiculous "You are GM for your fanbase" MEg tried tried trading Foxton to PC for me.

(Speaking of MTU, aside from actual national championship banners, a loonier fanbase, and a better band, it's pretty much the same when you think about it...)

Yes. It is known to happen. In the case of the person in question here, they were originally from this area and moved home.

he was going to Lawrence Tech to play hockey, and got scared away when a black guy got shot near him or something?
not smart enough/good enough at hockey to go to MTU, so he's going to NMU.

Nope, I was dating (and later married) a college girl from 1999 who actually liked the Backstreet Boys and N*Sync as well as Fiona Apple, Sarah McLachlan and the Indigo Girls.

Luckily her taste has improved since then.

My thesis is that music (pop music) started to suck in 1996... so far nothing has disproved this thesis.

I'm the same way, and I'm not even a singer.

And, you know what? Some country is NPB. I have to turn the station every now and then because I just can't handle some songs, but others are pretty good.
