That one could be me. I've complimented awesome mustaches before.

Dam Chinese suppliers.

Back from the UP... boo :( Not that there's anything wrong with MN, but I miss being there, especially in the summer with nothing much to do. insert Tech ratio joke here

I agree, not that there is anything wrong with MN, but I didn't really wanna come back yet. CO is amazing.

Thanks to my Springs friend who works at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, I got to go behind the scenes and handfeed penguins. It pretty much ruled. They are so orderly when it's feeding time. They get in line, eat a couple fish, and then move to the back of the line.

Also got to see the tiger that my buddy bottlefed when it was just a baby. That *er is a huge sumbeech now. Only a year old or so.

The verdict is in: I am ready for some football.

Agreed.

Here's the million dollar question... did you get anybody to take pictures... if I did that I'd want pictures.

I didn't even think about that until you mentioned it. :o :( But I know there will be more opportunities for that.

Here's a pic of my buddy and the tiger, though, if that helps:

and duper, NO! Penguins rule. I'd love one as a pet. They are so awesome.

Totally unrelated... now that i'm getting out of school some of my old ideal fantasies of the real world are starting to slip back... one of those was getting a decoy duck... i figured that I'd have a blue carpet and it'd be kinda humorous.

I look up the prices on duck decoys yesterday... not prohibitively expensive... don't think I'd go through with it though.

---

are penguins house-trainable? Most birds aren't really big enough without being too big (ostrich, emu). There really isn't anything in that in-between class larger than a toaster but smaller than a footlocker.

If I were rich enough to create a habitat to house penguins, I don't think I'd care if they were house-trainable. :p

Almost forgot, one of the birds (female, named Jess; they all have names and they do respond to them most of the time  ) was really old for the species, 29 years old (average is 10, although up to 40 years old has been recorded in aquarium settings, such as this). She is kind of senile, and being in the water eases her pain/senility/whatever you want to call it.

The other birds would steal her food and such, so when she was in the water, the guy would yell out "JESS!" and then toss a fish. Since she responded to her name, she knew enough to look for a fish to hit the water and get it before the other birds stole it. It was pretty sweet. :)

She's a man, man!

Summit IPA is tasty.

edit: Whoa, off topic. Monday drunk is like bacon.......always great, but not always appropriate.

You need to make it to CO. About 190 breweries out there, IIRC. For the most part, I have yet to repeat a beer out there, drinking only "local" beers, and have spent a total of 2 weeks out there on vacations. :D

Re: TRP: Booty Traps Edition

...and did you get to barbecue one of the penguins? I really want to try barbecued penguin.
It's not a cow...or pig...or chicken...or fish...

Be nice to penguins...they're gangsta...

Zane from "Three Sheets" just took down a shot of 192 proof Aquavit in Denmark. Wow.
