Re: TRP: Blizzards, Bacon, and Beer

Ok, the Charlie Daniels Geico commercial is one that I will always laugh at. Classic.

Re: TRP: Blizzards, Bacon, and Beer

The Lord of the Rings trilogy has been playing each night this weekend on TNT. And the line that's been running through my head all weekend long is, "They're not gay! They're Hobbits." :D

Re: TRP: Blizzards, Bacon, and Beer

Decaffienated coffee.....it's worthless warm brown water!

Also see: beer, non-alcoholic.
Exactly. If I'm going to have coffee, give me the regular. I love going to restaurants where I don't even have to ask for a refill; the server already knows I need a warm-up and has the pot handy.

I've also become a fan of "shots in the dark,' or espresso in my coffee... :D

Re: TRP: Blizzards, Bacon, and Beer

I've heard those referred to as "depth charges," but that might just be Caribou's term.

I think Gloria Jean's (are they still around anymore?) used that term too. When I worked the food court at Burnsville Mall I used to get a quad-espresso charge in my coffee for a 12-hour shift. I needed it, and dammed if it didn't work. :D

Re: TRP: Blizzards, Bacon, and Beer

I got a Caribou gift card for Christmas. So I will definitely be making a stop there tomorrow AM as its the first time I have to be up at 5 in over 2 weeks.

Do like I did at the Starbucks when I visited Denver (Quiz works there, so that's why SloeVag and I went there; I despise "designer" coffee):

Me: Gimme the biggest, blackest, strongest coffee you have.
Worker: Uh, okay.....would you like to try (whatever the * she said) blend?
Me: No. Gimme the biggest, blackest, strongest coffee you have.
Worker: (look of puzzlement on her face)
(serves me the coffee)

:D

That. Is. Awesome.

I will go to the box and feel shame, as I haven't seen that before. :o :(

Re: TRP: Blizzards, Bacon, and Beer

Get the Lock And Load CD or the Leary DVD with both No Cure For Cancer and Lock And Load on it.

SIEVE! SIEVE! SIEVE!

I think I still have my VHS tape with No Cure on it, taped off of whatever HBO-like channel I taped it from somewhere. Never did see Lock'n'Load, and I have no idea why.

I'll just Netflix it. :)

Edit: and I have the No Cure cd, too.

Why do you still have the VHS? This is just another thing. Seriously, join this century. You are pathetic.

I just have the tape, along with some other VHS's. I gave my VCR away 2 years ago to a co-worker who needed one. If anyone wants some VHS's, lemme know (although my Pearl Jam concerts are reserved for Shrades, should I find someone to get them to him; and no, I'm not mailing them).

There needs to be a folk song written about Brent, the man from the 90s living in 2010.

About the only thing that I cling to, so to speak, is checks. :p

You've never seen it? I didn't have to click it to know what it was. That's the exact clip I thought of when you first told that story. :D

I hadn't. I wanted to see that special, forgot about it, and whenever I remember I hadn't seen it, I'm not in the mood to see it or I forget about it again. Hell, I forgot I had the No Cure cd until just now. :o

This thread totally took me back and reminded me of how awesome Foamy the Squirrel is... **WARNING: NSFW-Language**

Also known as a "Red Eye". At the coffeehouse I worked at, we called them "Cafe Royales".

So awesome. :)
