Beer is cheaper and the liquor stores are open on Sundays. Typical line, but it is the truth. Traffic is also better.

Gas is cheaper here. And cops don't bust you for going 2 miles over the limit because you're an out of stater. And have you seen your average resident there? Take off the Packers uni, and you have an Alabaman/Mississippian.

The only thing I learned when in WI:

Don't be an arsehole, you're fine.

Wore a Vikes jersey to Bum* WI (Spencer, to be exact, the bullseye of WI) and many tried to talk crap to me, starting something, and I just shrugged it off, etc. Ended up having drinks bought for me because I "had the balls to wear that jersey" there.

Wore a Vikes jersey to Bum* WI (Spencer, to be exact, the bullseye of WI) and many tried to talk crap to me, starting something, and I just shrugged it off, etc. Ended up having drinks bought for me because I "had the balls to wear that jersey" there.

I grew up hating Bears fans and still do.

That is WI hospitality for you. Yeah, we hate you as a sports fan, but we somehow take care of you. The last person I saw down here wearing a Vikings jersey, he was an arse. I yelled at him for being a queens fan and he said that I should go to MN sometime and then talk to him. Mind you he never been to MN or knew where I lived previously. The bartender said go outside and look at the plates on her car and then come back. Never came back.

We have our a-holes, trust me. I learned that after the infamous Bills/Vikes game where the Vikings kicker missed 2 XPs in the game, basically losing the game for them (the "Good golly, this is disgusting!" quote from Senser). I was taunted and ridiculed to no end after that game.

At the time, I was warned repeatedly that I would be in a fight if I wore that jersey, and I'm assuming it was because of my usually coarse personality. I knew better. I don't start anything, and I only cause chaos when I have the advantage.

When I was in Madison in February, I was walking around wearing my SCSU gear and these "so-called" badger fans yelled out "Go Badgers". I yelled out "Go Basketball" or "Go Football". For those messed up I would yell out "Go Bears". Absolute confusion.

Same here. I also did it at the Final Five. These Sconie fans in the parking lot got mad at Euro and I for bringing New Glarus. I yelled out "Go Cubs" and they got even madder. As a Cubs fan, it was even better.

On Fri, since we were vocal for the Yotes, we got some chick yelling "Go Red Wings!" at us. We yelled back "Name two Red Wings!" She couldn't. Then she was on our side after we explained why we were rooting for the Yotes.
