Transfer Portal

Yeah, I think of Eden as a decommit from Princeton and then committing to the Sinners. Not a transfer.
That depends on what the topic is. Is she officially a transfer? No, not at all, for the reasons that you and robertearle stated. But if we're looking at other forwards potentially being displaced by bringing in a late addition, what does a displaced player care whether or not Eden ever attended a class at Princeton if her shifts are gone all the same.

Giampietro to RMU, per RMU Instagram, along with Jersey Philips from Mercyhurst (i didn’t realize she was in the portal) and a SCSU player.

Word up in Potsdam is Rhea Hicks from Syracuse will be a Golden Knight.

Jaidan Fahrny in the portal. I wonder, her being a Pittsburgh native whether she will be at RMU?

As hard of a time as we are giving tosu about a perceived lack of loyalty to recruited players, I have a true example of that in former UW coach Tony Granato. For last season, he had 22 F and 14 D committed. 1/3 of them never made it to Madison, so he was in someone's house, pours the love on them and expounds on how awesome UW is, gets them to fall in love with UW, then he never gets them to Madison. Not only that, but he brought in transfers, talked to the press about how great player X will be and how important they are to the season, then he doesn't play them in but a few games. I sure am glad that clown is gone. Great guy, great player, horrific coach.

Comments have been made about St. Cloud having tosu numbers of players in the portal, but they are in a culture change after year1 of a new coach, that is kind of to be expected.

Definitely a calmity for the mythical 17 (minus the slOwSU posters) who are butt hurt over the fact that the Muzzinator is utilizing the portal better than your rooting choice.

I beg to differ. While I was hoping for a different result, the best team won this year. The best team won last year. And next season the best team will also win. I don't have a problem with that. And I don't have a problem with how those winning teams get put together. Not sure who you want to diss on, unless your own butt is feeling pain?

I'm a more than decade long Wisconsin season ticket holder, and I am under no illusion that "the best team won" is anything other than a highly debatable proposition. If we look at the season as a whole, I don't even think it is debatable; Wisconsin was not the best team. They were maybe the best team in March, because the freshmen came into their own at the end of the year. Or they were the team that got one more shot to go, one more puck to bounce their way a couple games in a row. Play the whole tournament over ten times, how many of those ten does Wisconsin win, how many does Ohio State win, ho many Minnesota, etc etc.

The year before, Ohio State won a double-OT game over Quinnipiac after Q rang the pipe *hard* during OT, and then won the championship game on a pass that deflected off a defender's skate into the goal. "Best team" or "one more bounce than the other guys"? Very much debatable.

A tournament was played; you won. That's all the other national champs that came before you can say as well. Has there been a champ that didn't need a break or a close call along the way? I'm not remembering that team, but there's been a lot of years, so maybe somebody dominated more than I'm remembering. If you win a couple more over the next three years, nobody is going to look back on this season and remember a stretch of a few games where UW couldn't score. Whether the rest of us like it or not, the Badgers were a worthy champion.

Plus I feel like she has created calamity in the college hockey world replacing an eastern team in the top 4 and the gap seems to be very wide to everyone but maybe NE.

The original sign of incoming calamity was the black jerseys with black numbers. Darth Vader mode activated and the league has never been the same.

No disrespect to the Badgers but with two such evenly matched teams I can't say the "best" team won in a 1-0 victory. If it was say a 5-0 win then I'd agree.
If they played again the next day OSU probably would have won. The breaks simply went Wisconsin's way.

Or the Gophers would have beaten UW and then Ohio St, like they did two weeks earlier.

Correct and with the appearance of those jerseys at Ridder, that is where the muzzinator nickname originated.

No one really, the post was supposed to be satire. The fact that I have to explain that means I didn't do a very good job of it.
Some of us knew that. A lot of what gets posted here by the 17 are inside jokes or responses to threads/posts from five years ago. Maybe that's why there are only 17 regulars; it becomes too much work to try to make sense of a lot of our nonsense.
