Transfer Portal 2025

Funny, how you all would come on this forum and make comments about OSU and the portal. Now you men are silent about Minnesota using the portal to build a team. Why? Fivehole why does MINNESOTA need the portal? OSU lost one player to the portal so they went and got one player from the portal. Funny MN getting all these one year players and the fourm says nothing about it. Keep up the good work.
I know what the GPL forum says but if I'm reading the game logs correctly Paul should have a second remaining year of eligibility if she wants it.

But yeah, I'll say why they need to go to the portal. Because their current roster isn't good enough. They're losing the second-, third-, and fourth-highest scorers on the team (as well as one other forward who got real minutes) and #1 with a bullet on that list hasn't fully committed to coming back yet. A top six of Bouveng, Lindsay, Kreisz, and three freshmen (or a healthy Kaiser), all respect given to those players, does not put you in the best position to quiet the fans calling for change. Credit to the Snowman, he seems to know it.

No OSU or Wisconsin fans really see Minnesota as a threat right now. Maybe you're starting to?

Sarah Paul would bump up against her five-year clock at the end of 2025-26, absent any other consideration. But having played only seven games in 2021-22 and missing 22-23 altogether, it is VERY likely she'd get an extension of that, such that she'd have two years eligibility remaining.

The Gophers had lead vs Wisconsin in a number of their games, and were 30 seconds from taking UW to overtime in the WCHA tournament. Both will be different teams next year. Of course they're a threat.

I believe she had 24 pts, I'm curious about her +/-. Of course getting a good player from a bottom end Hockey East team with some Team USA experience isn't a metamorphic move, but it's something. Frosty is destroying Muzzy.

To be fair, I seem to recall something, somewhere, by someone who shall not be named, being said about the month of April, so much like a mustang story, that could still happen.

Starting with a large roster of 27 for 2024-25, Minnesota is losing 11 or 12 (depending on what Abbey Murphy does) through graduation and the portal, with an incoming class of six. That puts them at 21 or 22, before portal 'acquisitions'. Three from the portal now makes it 24 or 25 for next year.

If you were looking for a defender who put up 24 points, why not one who did so in the WCHA? I wonder about Julianna Gazdik from Mankato, and why she and her sister are both still 'on the board'. Maybe they're looking to stay together, and finding a school ready to take both is proving difficult?

I like playing with fire and poking the bear.

I have a Mustang story....I clobbered a deer with mine a few weeks ago. Same road I clobbered one 2 years ago with the same car. I had just installed a chin spoiler extension. The front of the car was so glued to the track, er, um...road. Don't tell my wife I said that.

Payton Holloway to St. Cloud from UMD. Former UW recruit who switched from UW to UMD for hopefully more playing time. Didn't work out. It was really sad her FR year watching her on the UMD bench with family in the building and she never got a shift. Best of luck to her.

It also didn't work out when she went to Shattuck a few years ago, and didn't make their prep team.

Thanks for posting that. A little "meh" I guess. BC was 10th in scoring, although 104 goals is nothing vs MN 153 or UW 221. WI had 2 d with close to the same amount of points and they were like plus 40.
Assuming Primerano and Morrow remain the Tunnelers' first pairing, how the rest of the blue line time is split (Laitinen, Graham, Parkkonen, Jordan) will be interesting to find out. On the surface, this is the best Gopher blue line since Stecklein was on the team.
